Each cord can sustain a maximum tension of 20 lb.
Determine the largest weight of the lamp that can be
supported. Also, determine u of cord DC for equilibrium.
thank you so much!!!
I've been stuck on this question for a while. At 2:35 when you solve for AC, how do you get 0.518W?
1.225AC + 0.707AC =W
Why is it not AC= W/1.932?
W/1.932 = .518W they are the same thing.
stuck on that too
@@FinalAnswer ıts not the same thing
@@batuhancoskun9282 It is the same thing. 1.225AC + 0.707AC =W 1.932AC = W We want AC in terms of W. AC = 1/1.932 * W ~ AC = .518W
@@batuhancoskun9282 It could be written as (1/1.932)W
Gracias 😭🙏🏽
Thank you very much from Egypt
How did we assume that force of A is in-between CD and (AB & BC)? I am confused on how we know the value of A.
If CD=1.157w then max w=17.286
If BE=1.268w then max w=15.773
Why did you pick 15.77 as max weight ?
(tag me if you reply plc)
Not sure if this matters to u anymore since its been 3 months but its cuz if he used 17.286 then the rope BE would snap because it's tension would be over 20lb and the max each rope can hold is 20lbs
Next time bro show your all solution its confusing for those people not really good in deriving the formulas (except me). As I observed all of your videos people always asked for the values how they came up.
Mega tight
hey i know u
