      @@SarahW the only think is I do not want to use the colored lacquer. I finished doing them in clear yesterday. After watching a few videos I think I remember asking if I could use regular lacquer and was told I could as long as I used the gel top coat. We will see on that. Crinkling and chipping are both signs of a thick application. All layers need to be very thin for the light to cure them thoroughly. When you wipe away the tacky layer from your top coat, make sure to use a rubbing alcohol of 90% or higher for a proper, solid finish.

      You have to use a new one so you don't get any transfer into the skin. If you don't remove it properly with a clean pad for each nail then small amounts of chemical gets onto skin and over time leads to nail product allergy. Then you can't use ANY gel polishes or glues anymore if you need surgery later you can be allergic to those glues as well. All because you were to stingy to use a fresh wipe on each nail 🥴

    • @sarahmiles1877
      @sarahmiles1877 Před 2 lety

      Pushing back cuticles is not a wrong method, the cuticle is not living, it is basically the glue that seals your living tissue to your nail plate to prevent bacteria from entering. Removing excess cuticle is how the gel polish adheres to the nail, and keeps the nail plate in good condition. The nail plate must be clean of all cuticle residue to prevent lifting and bacteria. REMOVING the Hyponychium, the living skin past the cuticle, is entirely different and very harmful to the client.
