@P Chu Agreed, in keeping to the character traits, lanxi's reaction is appropriate. If he were to be too emotional, it would be out of character. I do think the scene where lanxi eavesdropped on bai fengxi meeting with one of her brothers guards could be more but as the production is only for 40 episode , they needed to cut short certain plot lines. We need to understand when adapting a mangga or novel onto the small screen and given a limit of 40 episode certain plots may be deleted.
