The one thing this Pokedex is missing was a Pokemon based on the iconic Wendigo.

As a Newfoundlander who has made many Pokémon regions myself, I love to see that there are others in the community that are doing the same thing! A like a lot of these designs a lot, props to the artist and thanks for showing it off here and trying to learn a bit about NL!

Orcandle reminds me of fuecoco and that was made pretty evident in the whole line with the skeleton features and that sick fire/ghost type 🔥💀

This region has so many cool Pokémon, I wish these were all real one day. My favorites have been: The whole Orcandle line. Rubbo. The regional Mimikyu, Bisharp, Magnemite, Vanillite, Yamask, Shuckle, and Falinks lines. Sniperch. The Salmaggro line. Wyrmor. Noseelouette. Noctomorph. The Weevilocity line. The Hauntnuah line. And lastly both legendaries as well (hard to pick a favorite of the two)
Love this as a Canadian! Also, I know how it’s spelt, but it’s actually pronounced as “Noof’n-land” :)

Those flowers on the moose starters are called lupins! A common type wild flower in Newfoundland
The pawniard and bisharp forms are a great reference to the fact that the first gas mask was invented in Newfoundland. I love all the cool references in these Pokémon.

I have a feeling a lot of newfie trainers will be lured into this video solely because it’s a Newfoundland region.
I even shared an idea I had for a Newfadorian Buneary that’s grass type that steals flowers to stuff into its mossy fur. It evolves into Lapinné when holding a Diamond Flower; a grass fairy type capable of plotting and executing complex heists to get what it wants. It’s a pun on lupins, the French word for Rabbit, and the thief Arsene Lupin.
Snikarsonus also showcases a couple brilliant Canadian maple leafs of fire around the neck and on the tail :) It might also have a sneaky one on the chest!
I love how a great auk becomes a spinosaurus and a mammoth looking like a brachiosaurus. I also love the laughing dinosaur. I would go for the grass moose.
Codragoon is definitely my favorite, and the two legendary Pokemon are really nice as well.

As a Canadian myself, on my team-I'll choose Newfloat (line), Burrmine (line), Kittsowatt (line), Newfador region Meowth (line), Lufteon and Pubble (line) including Hauntnuah. Fennecone line are so cute. I love Fennecone and Rockapoo (because of the picture that you shown in the video is like my dog Pippi). I would love this game to be part of the Pokemon Mainline games. Hopefully that Gamefreak will see this! Please Gamefreak!
Also The protagonists names are related yo fishing as well. A jig is weighted lure and a fly is used in fly fishing

Serious lack of Indigenous cultural themes.
The Moondogs were a very popular group of pro wrestlers from the 70's, 80's and 90's, they consisted of members King, Rex, Spot, Spike and Cujo, and their whole gimmick was that they were scraggly and wild eyed and carried huge chewed up bones to the ring with them, and they were famous for competing in No Disqualification matches, especially when they wrestled in Memphis, Tennessee. Sadly all the Moondogs (with the exception of a few indy Moondogs I think) have all since passed away, Moondog King got into a car accident in late 2004, he then spent eight months on life support before he sadly passed away, the most likely reason that Prinpow and Kingmondog are based on them is because pro wrestling was and still is very popular in Canada and many really famous wrestlers have come from Canada, including Adam "Edge" Copeland, Christian Cage, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Abdullah the Butcher, Trish Stratus, Kenny Omega, Josh Alexander, Lance Storm, Gail Kim, Taya Valkyrie, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, as well as the Hart and Vachon wrestling families

For my fangame fakemon dex i had a grass ground bear as one of my legendaries, and the other was an 8 headed snake poison legendary as we dont have any
The fakemon here are very creative for the region. I would choose Blubburnt as my starter. My favorites has to be Dervolt, Perrserker, Mimikyu, Bisharp, Codragoon, Crickurse, Coroma, Ninjusa, and Hauntnuah.

Interesting region. Hard to really encapsulate canada as a whole as it’s such a diverse and giant country you’re bound to miss out on things. Would love to see the legendaries represent the amazing diverse Indigenous cultures that we have all across Canada, a giant Turtle pokemon that represent turtle Island as the main legendary would be very cool. But all together cool designs
I think the Newfadorian Vanillish line is actually based on maple taffy, which is maple syrup mixed with snow to create a sticky snowcone kind of thing rolled on a popsicle stick. I had it as a kid on a field trip to a sugarbush.

I would use, fire starter line, fluffn line, minikcher line, amptenna line, newfadorian delibird, newfadorian pawniard line, newfadorian magnetite, falinks line ( but horns are cool, cool is better then truth, also it’s intimidating ), lufteon, blitzjay line, dragoose line, infestigator, wyrmor, newfadorian Timburr, pebble line, codzilla line, centispeed line, hauntnuah, lantryn line ( and beacon ), laichenyim, humberg.
Jig and Fly are like jiggers and fly lures
My favorite is Blubburnt Craboboiler Snikarsonus Codzilla Lighdradorah and Humberg

I want to say, because of the sheer size of Canada, you could in theory have a lot of new Pokemon based on Canada with each province or regional area of Canada getting their own starters and/or regional variants.
Specifically this region is based on Newfoundland :)
All of these pokemon are great and honestly this time I could not put a start and final team together like I normally do.
All I could say is that I would pick the water starter because puppy.

Honestly with Palworlds being a slight problem, game freak should start paying these people for some of these designs. The Pokémon Amber dex looks so cool and I love every one of them, and it’s a game I would pay for to play

awesome video, my favourite was definitely wintaboggan, i love the colouring of it, green and purple are one of my favourite colours and when the combine together they just look so cool and im a massive fan of anything with those kinda colours as the design 😍

i have an idea for my addition: a grass type Buneary with mossy looking fluff filled with flowers that evolves into Lupinné, a grass/fairy type when holding a Comet Shard.
A cunning kleptomaniac compared to the sinnoh variant, this Buneary gathers all sorts of flowers to stuff into its fur even going as far as to steal flowers from peoples' gardens. When it becomes Lupinné, its kleptomaniac behavior becomes more graceful and it’s said to be capable of pulling off complex heists to get what it wants.
Lupinné’s name comes from the flower lupin, Arsene Lupin, and the French word for rabbit (lapin).

i love the evolved Dilophasaurus's flame mane looks like a maple leaf....love all the fossils, love all the pokemon, love the region....the pokemon i feel the least about are still like a 6.5/10....lots of 8/10's
