  • It is basically impossible that the CarMount™ can't hold a smartphone.
    It all depends where you install the metal plate and if your phone case is compatible installing the metal plate inside the case or not.
    If you case is not compatible installing the metal plate inside the case (battery case, wallet case, MagSafe case or too thick case) install the metal plate outside the case, as shown in the video above.

    How hard is it to remove the mount, and how much damage or adhesive is left on your dash? Does the magnet stick well to a rubber phone casing that may periodically get wet or submerged in water?

      My same thoughts. I am apprehensive on moving forward till I know more about the base mount

      @whatif7191 some 99% iso could remove the residue. As for the rubber casing, you could see how strong the magnet works if you just place or tape the metal plate on your casing first before removing the protective film from the adhesive side.

      👋 CARMOUNT can be removed due to the specific nature of the adhesive, and re-installed.
      It comes off clean, without leaving any residue behind. An extra sticky is included in the package.✌️

      CarMount works with even the biggest iPads and Tablets. Use 2 mounts to install the tablet and make sure the metal plates are installed outside the case if you use a case on your tablet. So it will have a maximum hold. You can find the 2+1 deal here: carmount.com/f1/

      👋 Hey! Our dash mount will work with iPhone 12/13/14/15 but not with Apple's MagSafe magnets.
      The included Metal Plate needs to be installed below the MagSafe circle.

      Can the plates be removed from the phones and re used? I just got new phone and I'm wondering if I can transfer the plate to another phone or will I need to buy new plate...

    • @thecarmount
      @thecarmount  Před 2 lety

      @@EricGonzalez-bd1qd You can transfer if you going to use the plates inside the case. If you use them outside the case, unfortunately the glue is not re-useable

    How can you remove the plate from the phone ?

      I believe you can use force, with some help with sharp tools. You can also remove the glue that is left over with a damp cloth.

      👋 Hey! The Metal Plate is easy to remove from your case or phone. Use heat from the blow dryer to loosen the adhesive and peel it slowly. Be careful not to expose your device to too much heat 👌
