Hi Mighty, oh Lynn your new Blythe is adorable - oh yes the string is fairly easy to re attach- Lin up some CZcams videos - there are a few out there - you will need to unscrew the back of the head and thread the string through the head plate then just re tie the string. Congratulations on your first Blythe doll Lynn she is really beautiful!! Sorry the string came out but it is an easy fix, so not to worry. There are some great videos to help you along. You just need to unscrew her face plate and reattach the string, you can do it!! Thanks for the mention dolly Sis!! 🙌🏼🎉🥰♥️😍💋

I should have said too, watch a couple of Blythe Custom DIYs on CZcams before you unscrew your new Blythe. Keep your Screws separate, the two on the bottom ARE a different size than the one on the top. ;-)

I recently purchased my first Blythe doll. It is a factory one. I got it to see if it was something that I may invest my time in. The accessories are so expensive. I'm still not completely sold on having a new hobby. But I do like her. Yours is an inspiration she is so adorable.

Yes the postal service takes it as a challenge to damage our boxes 😅 when I received my Blythe I found a video on CZcams that helped me with the eyes and taking care of Blythe’s. The string in the back has to be pulled at an angle.

Ok second try. I absolutely love your OOAK custom Youths with sleep eyes no less. She is adorable. Just fyi if any Blythe head is matt then she has at minimum had a matt varnish/sealant applied to her. I have also a slightly customized factory Blythe with pastel rainbow hair but no sleep eyes. I adore her. I have a lot of crochet and knit Japanese and Ravelry patterns for Blythe dolls and I can customize the Japanese vintage Jenny and Licca patterns for a Blythe, as they have the same body size, only hats won't fit, but I have patterns for those.
