    Pichi-pichi or Steamed Cassava Cake is a popular Filipino delicacy made of grated cassava as the main ingredients, sugar and flavorings. It is delicious as dessert or snack. It is chewy, soft and coated with grated mature coconut.
    Here's the simple way to prepare this recipe:
    INGREDIENTS:
    2 cups grated cassava
    2 cups water
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon lye water
    1 teaspoon Pandan Extract, optional
    1 cup grated mature coconut
    oil
    INSTRUCTIONS:
    Pour ¼ cup water to the cassava then slightly remove its juice.
    In a bowl, combine cassava, sugar, water, lye water and buko pandan flavor. Mix well until sugar is dissolved.
    Pour the mixture in a greased tin. Cover it with aluminum foil, then steam for about 30 to 40 minutes or until translucent.
    Remove from steamer then allow to cool completely. Slice and spread grated coconut on top.
