- Silent mode with no mute button! My microwave doesn't have a sound button to turn down the noise, but that's ok because I can remove the beeper! Find the piezo and smash it!!

He's not joking about the capacitor. Even unplugged it holds enough power to kill you.
Yes sir! I'm making jokes, but the capacitor will be the one laughing if I'm not careful
How long does it take to discharge if you let it sit so there's no chance of harm? Or, dumb question; can you unplug it and then press buttons to use up any voltage in it. I have a feeling though this is a dumb second question because otherwise the clock would still be on when you unplug it.
@@GMoney-B it would probably take several days to self discharge. the easier way would be to short it manually using a piece of metal with insulation on the side you're holding (common option is a screwdriver with a rubber handle)
There's nothing like a cup of silently brewed tea after a deadly quest to send an evil device back to hell 🍵
exactly!
Finally a guy who showed what the bell looks like. Many thanks!
I have removed beepers from a microwave, a/c unit and an air fryer. Just pulled my new microwave apart and nothing looks like the other ones previously removed, which all were small and round.
Your video helped, since mine is also made by Galanz. The layout on mine is different and the beeper is tightly sandwiched between two larger connectors, making it hard to see the top for the telltale "beep hole". But that was it alright. I sent the beeper back to Hell, where it belongs. Thanks!
Me who has been shocked from capacitors a thousand times.
Gotta be dramatic, don't want anyone who attempts something like this to get hurt.
And don't forget the MOT when it's powerd.
@@ThePetaaaaayeah! That’s lethal⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
Gods work
I try!
THANK YOU!!! THIS WAS DRIVING ME INSANE! ON TOP MINE HAD A NON STOP REMINER BEEP.
No problem haha
This is art
I don't know about all that haha but thank you very much I'm glad you liked the video.
dude my delonghi countertop oven's beep is a halfway towards a smoke alarm. When you turn it off, it gives you one last 4 second long beep. So embarrassing living in an apartment building. I need to try this
edit: 2 hours later removed it, and oven fires up and turns off in blissful silence!
That makes me happy man I'm glad to hear the video helped you
This video helped alot. I use a cheap microwave to make fishing lures and the beeping was driving me crazy
I have the exact same model and removed that obnoxious buzzer. One thing you slipped past me was how the cover slides back and not up and I bent it doing my typical Navy Machinist Mate death grip on it. Thank you for the tutorial!
Glad to help thanks for your service
I love this so much
I really appreciate it thank you
Cheers mate! You just saved my sanity. Works a treat! ☝🏻 Masterful video! Genius! 😎👍🏻
Happy to help
LMAO this is amazing
haha thanks for watching
"Now it's time to say goodbye to our old friend death, hopefully we won't have to see him for awhile". Lol. How long would it take to discharge by sitting unplugged? Can you put a volt meter to it to see how much voltage is in it? Safely? lol.
I want to try putting a switch on the side of mine, that is wired in between the positive connections on the board and the beeper, so I can turn it on and off, maybe a three way switch so I can put a resistor on it to make a lower volume mode. Then also put another switch to turn the turn table off for my square plates that tend to play rowdy in there with it turning about.
That is a really good question. Some capacitors will stay charged for a really long time. Sorry I don't have a solid answer. That sounds like a cool idea, tag me if you make a video about it
@@10mm No worries. Yeah, I will totally do that if I make a video. I want to start making videos about a lot of different things but we'll have to see if I make it to this project with limited time.
Shout out to the pipe wrench used to pull the piezo, is that a Knipex?
Yessir! Knipex is the go to
Amen to you bro, you saved my life or and the micro 😁
Happy to help brother
I just got a brand new kenmore microwave and it has no silence feature. It is a scurge on me while I try and concentrate and the damn thing won't stop beeping. I can't eat the food yet anyway so it wants me to come pop the door so I can go back and sit down. It's a nightmare. Whoever makes microwaves has never used a microwave.
Nice one. But what do we do when we like a soft and gentle buzzing sound from the microwave piezo beeper.
The manufacturer won't let us turn it down or turn it off?
We just tape the piezoelectric buzzer with some electrical fabric tape.
That will give us a reassuring, gentle buzzing sound from the microwave piezo-beeper.
SO OSTER IS MADE BY GALANZ TOO!!!
Just the magnetron, not the microwave itself
ty so much! i disabled mine! its awesome!!!!!!!!! ty ty!!!!!!
Hey no problem

Yours is quite compared to mine
Hold the number 2 all sounds off
doesn't work on this model, or Westinghouse.

Dah, I did this and now my microwave doesn't work. Can't put the thing back in either because it was destroyed when I took it out
The beep is cool but I actually prefer a non-digital ring from like a real bell but either way I like my microwave to be as loud as f. Wake up the entire bloody neighbourhood. if I can’t hook up a damn foghorn to my microwave I am going to be upset.
