RFTC is one of the tightest and hardest rocking and rolling bands in American History, and everything you’ve ever heard about their live show is true. LEGENDS
@@robertjensen3513 Oh, you MUST see them live! One of the top three live acts as far as I'm concerned!!! What part of the country are in? They're from San Diego, so they play around the area. Also, the singer, John Reis, is in a handful of other bands that are pretty good in their in their own right, so keep an eye out for the others as well!
Was introduced to RFTC back in the Circa Now years . . . . forgot about them for quite some time. One of those bands you equate with high-school and move past. However, fate is not without irony . . . . I lost almost all my storage from years past. While recovering my data, I was re-introduced to RFTC. Awesome. Look up their earlier work, listen to all their music, love it and live it. One of the best live performance bands I've ever seen.
Saw them in SF on a vacation, they played double this set, and it was unbelievable. This is a crusher of a set list, all killers. Just shows what an amazing career these guys have.
I love that they brought their amp heads and are obviously using rented cabinets - I don't think I've ever seen Speedo use a cabinet that new on purpose.
When I try to listen to Rocket from the Crypt lyrics, the singer‘s voice needs to be louder, but because they try to make their guitars sound rock ‘n’ roll from their amps so that’s why the guitars are louder than the singer. I can only hear the lyrics a little bit.
@@andyrussell1219 yes, but he played with RFTC for a long time, so I was curious who it was? Steve McDonald is also in OFF but that hasn't stopped him from playing with the Melvins and Redd Kross.
@@strummer101 pretty sure, Mario has had the same haircut since his skate boarding days. This guy has Willie Nelson braids and then there's facial hair too. When has Mario ever had a beard of any kind?

@@mikehesq007 To you too! 🤝
Seriously, HTF do you not absolutely lose your mind and freak out? Bummer of a crowd, amazing set as always. Thank God RFTC is back to save us all.
AND it's their HOMETOWN crowd?!
Because those people are older and these youngsters don’t know who they are
Watching bands you grew up with (literally) come back a little greyer. Classic
And you realise how tight they are!
Swami is god ohhh!
I'm watching this with a smile as wide as when I saw them in 1996. 🚀
Same! Where did you see them in 96?
@@Tricklarock Duchess Of York in Leeds. They sounded better live than on record. 🤯
@@Tricklarock Astoria and some record shop in east london in their basement. might be why my ears are still ringing.

Absolutely. Underappreciated as well.

I have to see them live. They look legendary.

What a setlist, hit after hit. Nice to see that gods can age and not just my mirror image. Thanks David for the upload
Wow, they sound fantastic! Thanks for the great recording.
Thanks so much for recording and posting this. Its been super helpful in working out a lot of the tabs. I'm working my through the ones missing on UG

If you don’t lose your shit during the final pause on “Come See, Come Saw,” do you even like rock and roll music?

One of the greatest live bands ever!
Yes!! EVER!!! Best live show EVER!!
Yes, them and The Jesus Lizard!!!
Saw them at Hultsfred like 25 years ago. They nearly had a riot because everyone wanted them to keep going. One of the best gigs I've ever seen.
@@GravfallGamingSwe I saw them at the Casbah in their hometown - SD!
Best band ever.
Awesome post!
I love Rocket from the Crypt and John Reis aka (Swami)
Saw these guys back in 95 , the best live band I have ever seen!
awesome set and great footage. thanks for posting this!!
Best live band 😍
What a great band. Wish I could see them.
As you can tell by the comments, one of the best live shows I've seen!
Grandioses!!...Hello from France!
The best live band in the solar system!
Crowd is brutal.
Unworthy patheticness.
Dead crowd
Wow, as good as they ever was
This is: THE BEST LIVE BAND IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM.
People think that’s a flippant comment. They really fucking were. Probably the loudest band I’ve seen live too.
I was there!
This is: very effin' true!
I love that they brought their amp heads and are obviously using rented cabinets - I don't think I've ever seen Speedo use a cabinet that new on purpose.
Shows how flexible he is these days! He’s really specific about their sound
I love rock and rooooooolllllllllllllll!!!!
Shredding!
Truly San Diegos finest, Kinda bums me out i wouldve given anything to be there and most people are lookin kinda bored, like um......what?
I’m sure it wasn’t their headlining show. Don’t you think?
hormone blockers have that effect
Saca el playlist paisa!
I didn't know Andrew Black (drummer of the Explosion) played shows with RFTC. Interesting.
I can put myself back there at their shows. Wtf. Today‘s weird.
I guarantee they've never played to a more stale, non-plussed crowd in their entire career. Reis was BEGGING for some audience feedback.
I concur. What a bunch of squares
RFTC is the purest sound of San Diego punk, Blink be damned
Speedo's Army for life!!!
Please choose a new thumbnail for this gem of a video.
yeahh
How come they always say "caught" instead of "stuck" on Middle during live performances now? Did Steelers Wheel threaten them or something?
Hat tip to the security guard nodding along around the 5 min mark.
Never employ security wearing glasses; give 'em a clump on their nose, knock off their glasses = destination fucked.
Iz that dave grohl on drums?
No love the the famous RFTC horn section, camera guy?!?!?
Who is that on drums? Anyone know?
Andrew Black (the Explosion, title tracks, Primals (Reis produced)
Childhood daze!

Where is Ruby Mars?
Touring with Earthless.
And OFF.

Who;'s the drummer?
Was curious too as both Atom and Mario are busy with other projects these days.

It’s Andrew Black on drums (The Explosion, The Primals, Reagan Bombs)

Seriously great band. One of those who are fine on record but live is their medium.
One of the best live (not this, but Casbah, etc.)bands!
@@GeriDoc8 he meant medium as their forte, where they are best experienced. Not sure why you misunderstood that or felt the need to be, well ...

Petco is pretty big...
Your hearing may be broke
Maybe you should put down the keyboard, go outside and see them in real life...
Nope, they sound exactly like they're supposed to, you just don't like it.
Agree to disagree. I have NEVER heard them sound bad live, they are pure rock n roll energy.
