I LOVE this piece!
First, I love how visually stunning this is. One thing I’ve always admired about your work el is that it’s so incredibly striking. I feel as if I’m actually in the frames that you’re capturing. All of my senses come to life! My sight, my smell, I even tasted the tea and coffee yall drank!
Another thing that popped out to me was the clear LOVE between the two of you. It’s funny the piece is called nomad but even though you were wandering you both were so clearly at home with one another. It’s like no matter what city or venue you were in, as long as you were together there was an immediate sense of place!
I really loved the constant interplay of black and white within your outfits. The way you two were jostling back and forth between who wore what color was really interesting to me. For me, it symbolized that you were different, yet the same. A balance of sorts. And matching that with the constant change in location I think that brings the original point home that while you’re always on the go, with each other you’re always at home.
I also loved how your outfits were muted but they were against such vibrant backdrops. To me that represented that you’re small pieces within such a larger puzzle but your pieces are incredibly important and hold immense value when together and on your own.
I love this piece because while it’s a travelers story, it’s also a love story. While it’s about movement it’s also about stability.
The beauty is found in the in between.

I use the Red Komodo and the Canon r5 for the video and shot all the film on a cheap Olympus Trip 35
