    マツダNA1.6ロードスターを32年間乗っているので、補完するため 8:12 2007年モデルの2.5iを2023年1月に3000アメリカドルで買いました、98000キロ。日本で買える最も安い中古車ロードスターがE85です、素晴らしい性能とスタイリングをとても安く手に入れられて毎日が楽しいです。もちろんスーパーチャージャー付のNA1.6も大変満足しています。

    I've owned my z4 for 11yrs now and have since bought a lot more expensive, faster cars. After several upgrades over the years, I finally got round to doing the suspension last year and what a transformation it has been! For me, the driving experience and connection with the car is up there with the very best. Definitely a keeper.

    • @dimi911
      @dimi911 Před 2 lety +2

      @@db192 I had replaced the 2 wishbones with Lemforder items and polybushed all round (black series) which made for a pretty harsh ride, but was ok as I only do 2k max a year. Was forced into the suspension upgrade as one of the front coils collapsed (luckily while the car had been parked for 2 months last winter - I've seen this happening on other Z4s but was very surprised as my car hasn't got a single spot of rust/corrosion whatsoever). I switched to Bilstein B12s, basically B8 shocks, Eibach springs, front strut reinforcing plates (I've already got an Alutec strut brace on the top and another one at the bottom, behind the radiator, plus a big scaffolding type one at the back), polybushed purple rear strut top mounts plus reinforcing plates and finally, adjustable drop links. The car has been completely transformed! The handling is excellent, it just changes direction with the thought and it's also really comfortable on bumpy B roads. To be fair, probably the best money I've ever spent on a car.

    • @db192
      @db192  Před 2 lety

      @@dimi911 that’s a proper upgrade! I imagine that my suspension set up is the same as factory, it handles well enough with good tyres on but it would certainly help having a refresh.

    • @dimi911
      @dimi911 Před 2 lety

      @@db192 I wouldn't bet on that...when I took the old shocks out, they were completely shot. Especially the front ones (original Sachs, M sport suspension) wouldn't come out at all when pushed in, completely dead and it's not a high mileage, abused car. They were in much worse condition even compared to the original items on my '68 911 which I restored a couple of yrs ago.

    Bought a 2001 Z3 and drove it for 21 years! Just bought a one-owner, very low-mileage Z4 3.0i and MAN! it is amazing.
    The BMW plant is 25 miles down the road from me, so I’ve seen “spy” cars drive by my country home during early morning hours. And one of my mates has worked there since it’s opening, and I’ll never forget when he brought home a new Z4 in 2002.
    I was blown away and I knew I’d have one eventually. So now I’m happily driving my Alpine White over Oregon Beige Z4 (same color scheme as my beloved Z3).

    On my Z4 (2004 2.2i) convertible almost every electrical motor has failed on me and sometimes I think this car is made of cheese.....However It has an engine and gearbox which seem hewn from granite and an intoxicating exhaust note being the smaller six cylinder engine. It is a real character and despite how much trouble it has caused I love the thing. Every drive feels like an adventure in a Z4. Also as you say it is very handsome from certain angles. The interior is well designed although though the steering is not right in front of you but slightly to the left which annoys. Great boot space. Incredible value for money .....if you get a good one! Good car for the home mechanic too as it is easy to service. Look for the six speed gearbox on the second generation which is much better for the motorway. Only the 3.0 has 6spd on the first generation. Yes I know I bought the wrong spec but I still love it.
