- Thailand trouble in paradise part 7. More things going wrong in the house, earthquake damage, repairing old pumps, gates and on top of that, some car issues. Thailand is paradise but sometimes you do encounter some troubles along the way, including insane barking dogs LOL.

You have people that no doubt love you and care about you, please wear your seatbelt James.
Keep on keeping on James . Best of luck from Downunder champ .👍🙏🇦🇺🇹🇭
Cheers mate. Appreciate it.👍🍺
What a lovely property and outlook ...................I like the column detail on your terrace (Roman style I guess).....
Yes, builder's idea. Mr Wicharn is a good designer.👍🍺
Always enjoyed 👍🏻looking forward to the next video.
Cheers mate, appreciate it.👍🍺
Thank Buda you've not lost your sense of humour since visiting the uk! 😎👍🙏
Cheers, always good to have a laugh, even with barking dogs.😁👍🍺
Great video. Wow very productive. Or at least the people you hire 😂 have a great weekend 👍
Cheers mate, yes good guys, I can't change a light bulb.😁👍🍺
Thank you
I am going to try the cayenne pepper and lime in my Leo. Cheers !
I live in an East Pattaya suburb and I am amazed at how quiet it is. Apart from the 2 minutes a day I have to listen to my neighbour starting his Lambo and the occasional loud motorbike, it's amazingly quiet . Last year, my motorbike was rear ended while I was at a red light. There was quite a bit of damage. I was dreading taking it in to get fixed but the bill was next to nothing as they didn't charge me for some of the repair work. It was a pleasant surprise.
Yes it can go either way with repairs, I was lucky this time. Only Porsches up this way. 😂👍🍺
7 am in sydney Australia and another entertaining vlog. LOL I just came down to my pc to drown out my howling neighbours dog with headphones watching this..............great stuff
The irony mate lol. Hopefully they didn't bark all day .😁👍🍺
Thanks for the video, Cousin James. I'll have to try that interesting drink, but I don't do beer. I'll try it with ginger ale and a soda water.
Thais have a different tolerance for noise and heat. I'm already worried about my little girl because she doesn't seem to like noise, and she sweats in her sleep just like me. We're having to wash her pillow cases every 2 days because of the sweat stains. It turns out my Mom does that, too. I never knew!
Hope Annie is doing great. Look forward to seeing her in the next video.
Now that I'm a dad, I enjoy seeing other dads with their Thai daughters.
Cheers Prince. Yes, will see Annie at her new condo in the next vid. Glad u love being a dad, always difficulties, but worth it.👍🍺
Great job on the gate 👍
Keep that truck they were a good model better than the new unreliable ones that have sensors and electrics on everything
True, will never sell it. Just driven to Bangkok and feels great.👍🍺
Thanks James, another entertaining and informative video. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about Annie's new condo as we are on the search for a new condo to rent for our daughter that is starting at Bangkok University. Currently sharing with a friend but a bit far from the university. All the best, Shane 🍺
Yes, next video will be Annie's new condo. You should look at the plum condo complex not far from BU better value than a lot of the apartments and condos next to the university. Good luck. 👍
Love Your videos! You seem like a guy I´d like to take a beer with. Greetings from Sweden!
Cheers, appreciate it mate.👍🍺
Looking good Mr James
Make up and camera angles.😂👍
Outstanding, great information!
Cheers, appreciate it mate.👍🍺
Hitachi always reminds me of the wand. You been in Thailand to long having a spicy Leo, only need the Leo here to make myself one
Hitachi makes great motors I think. But, when repainting the front gate, you should have chosen the same color as the gate of the Forbidden City in Beijing. I really LOVE that color.
Love ice in my beer glass ... Proper Thai..love the prices for the work you get..noise!! Thais are noisy in general..
Only Started ice the last few years, but can never go back and adding other weird stuff now. 😂👍🍺
To help stop dogs pissing on your gate. Get the big clear bottles of water and leave a few along
Cheers, appreciate the advice mate.👍🍺
Another great video James 👍🏻 but you left us all hanging…what was the problem with starting on the Mazda?
Cheers mate. It was the correct diagnosis by the local guy but the wrong parts. 4 of those plugs. 500 thb a piece at Mazda. 👍🍺
A packed home improvement video. LOL with the sound "bars"
Wonderful job was done on the steel belongings: that gate looks smashing again, diesel block like new, waterpump, letterbox
You don't get that kind of service in the ol' west anymore - they pressure you to buy new stuff
We put up a dog fence last summer while our retired neighbours did it with a contractor and it cost them an arm & a leg
True, not easy to fix the gate in the UK, would have to get an expensive replacement. Looks like new so very happy.😁👍🍺
You're worried about noise, you should try living across the road from a Mosque!😂
It starts at 5.00 in the morning, then every few hours until 8.00 in the evening.
When we bought the land near the Koh Lanta ferry we heard nothing, but after we had a a disagreement with our next door neighbour (the local Imam), the loud speakers, which were directed up and down the road where all their customers lived, got directed towards our house and the volume turned to the max!😱😭
Sounds harsh mate. Village news over tannoys started recently here. Haven't got tannoy outside my house thankfully. Can send missus to have chat with village head in your situation. Good luck.👍🙏
i thought about sound proofing a room , rockwool in the roof space , rockwool on the wall and plasterboard over the top , any noisy parties i move away for a few days
Can never escape the bass lol. Parties come and go though.👍🍺
Wow! I am stunned at how clean they were able to make your engine. Great job Tak Mazda!
Yep, looks like new. Needed a good clean to be honest.😁👍
Thai main-dealer repair shops make the Western grease-monkeys look like Neanderthals.
Great video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it.👍🍺
Cayenne in your Leo? Never seen such a crazy idea. Might have to try it. Lol
Spices things up a bit, and healthy too. 😁👍🍺
Gas engines have spark plugs and diesel have glow plugs
Cheers mate, it was the glow plugs but local guy fitted wrong ones . Now starts great.👍
Hi James! Thanks for another great video! One thing I really love about Thailand is how you can get things fixed or changed out at such a reasonable price! Your gate & truck engine look great! About the noise...yes we have a home in a small village in Nan & yes as you say 😉 But at least they do cut the wedding/songkran/parties music at midnight 😅 Thanks again!
Cheers Mike, true, couldn't do that in the UK really, would have been a new gate. Part of the soundscapes of rural Thailand, I don't mind it and I like some of the music but not drunk karaoke at midnight lol.😁👍🍺
Took a me year to finally add ice to the beer. There's no turning back now, sorry
You can never go back.😁👍🍺
Hate continual barking dogs also..
Can drive u crazy after a month or so . 😁👍🍺
I'm from barking was born in Thailand
Tak so beautiful place 😊🫰❤️
Another excellent video of your day to day, I'm tying things up here in California (also earthquake country) for my upcoming Thailand adventure. Ill be interested in seeing the Annie's new condo in the big city on the next. Cheers! RIP Harry.
Cheers Eric. All the best with your trip.👍🍺
Distance of 96 kilometers from Bangkok to the western region. There are 25 contracts, 15 contracts completed. The overall progress is more than 90 percent. 😊👍
Perfect way to start my weekend. Nice one, man.
Do you ever leave a generous tip when something ends up costing a lot less than you were expecting? (I always do...to the point of nearly negating the cheap cost.🙄)
Yes, Wicharn got a litre of pipers whisky and always tip unless things go tits up lol.👍🍺
@@jamesabroad8589 Oh? I always tip extra for tits up. Oops...I see...British slang.😊
Everything has maintenance, a house has it also. The more stuff you own the more time and money it costs to maintain all you own. The less a person owns, like if you are a poor person the least amount of work and money it takes. Boats are the most maintenance of anything, everyone i know with a boat likes to use them but hates the huge costs to maintain them and eventually sell them. I also know a guy who had 18 condos/homes around the world, one day he was fed up with maintenance and sold them all but 3. That is why alot of people rent or just stay in hotels instead of own, less headaches and you can walk away at anytime.
True after 20 years of mostly trouble free living here, things are starting to age and need replacing.
RIP Harry
Cheers Peter.👍🍺
😎👍
Cheers mate.👍🍺
Would you please POST the water pressure from that Hitachi Pump. It seems that everybody in Thailand has low water pressure problems, I do NOT know why, however. Without sufficient water pressure, as well as water flow, NOTHING works right.
Pressure is great. Too much for the washing up . Need to put Tap to halfway.👍🍺
Steam clean engine is 500 baht maximim. They saw you coming at 5,000 baht.
Had about 8 things done for 5k. Steam clean not charged.
Beware of wild stray dog, snake, dengue mosquito, eerie noise, etc..things can be changed by the new govt of thailand guys.🤩
You must be relieved the Mazda wasn't 'piston broke' :)
Yes, luckily I don't know what that means.😁👍🍺
I do feel your loss of a loved pet,had to put down my cat since 16.5 years 3 weeks ago. Its hard when you have to let go of someone you love over everything else but that being said if your animal have issues and you truly love them it is a better feeling when you let them go instead of living on in pain and suffering
True, it was a mixture of relief and sadness. Certainly not easy. Cheers.👍🙏
Any news on your wayward garden wall?
Stabilised, but not really going anywhere movement wise.👍🍺
G'day James,
Been productive times around your manor.
What soundbar do you recommend to fit the average toilet cistern? 😉
I do actually have a Bluetooth speaker in the toilet, never thought about putting it in the cistern though LOL.👍😁
@jamesabroad8589 This could be a great new development James. A button on the cistern which raises it revealing the speaker and can play your choice of music while doing your business. Maybe your builder can knock together a prototype 😉
Where on earth did you get the idea to put cayenne pepper in beer?
Just thought I'd spice things up a bit and it tastes good. Cayenne pepper has a host of health benefits too lol. 😁👍🍺
The starting problem sorted?
Yes, was the wrong type of spark plug things. Mazda fitted the correct ones and starts fine now.👍🍺
I must live somewhere close to you ,I live in village no 3 ban Dan lan hoi. I’ve only been here 18 months . The funerals do my head in but they do at least stop at reasonable time . The dogs aren’t to bad from the noise, but they do love to shit out side the gate,it’s
like a magnet for dog shit.👍
Passed through there many times. Always stop at the PTT gas station. Noise does take getting used to. 👍🍺
@@jamesabroad8589 yes true there is not much around in my village I’m told by the guy own a restaurant in sukothai the village is where people go to die . I think he was joking but the music seems the nearly always on
You have such a dog problem! Not only do they bark at you, but they destroy your gate, too! (This is why I will not move, even though I would like to move. I am living where there are NO rooster noises, and NO incessantly barking dogs. The probability of finding anywhere in Thailand that has neither of these two annoyances is exceedingly low. Therefore, I will not risk a move from here to anywhere.)
True, very lucky to not even have a rooster lol. 👍🍺
