@@centurytuna100 ang maganda lang sa high megapixel is mas madami info/details na stored = mazozoom in mo yung image if kunyari malayo yung kuha mo. Medjo clear pa din vs low mp camera. Pero, the thing is that yung default mode ng mga phones is 12mp pa din. Yung 108mp is pixel binning lang..pinagtagpi tagpi na 12mp or whatever mp yung ginamit nila sa process.
Best talaga is if makita yung actual photo para mabusisi ng mabuti yung quality. Extra work sa buyer pero kailangan.

The extra features on the camera have been one of my necessities especially with my job. I work as a maintenance personnel on high-speed food processing machines. The 960fps video feature helps me identify the problems of an equipment giving off defective products. Also, pg sumusuong ako sa mga sterilizing equipments (parang mga tangke, madilim sa loob), the night mode or by adjusting the ISO gives me a better look on image what is happening within a clogged equipment which happens to be dark inside. Mas madaling e present sa mga bosses ko and very helpful when asking for a maintenance budget. Another very helpful tool was the macro shot camera lens. Certain parts of a machine have their part numbers engraved in a very small print. Minsan mas nakaklaro ko pa pg pinicturan ko with my macro lens.

Agree that Dolby Atmos will not guarantee surround sound for limited size ng phones, but their influence on both hardware and software aspect of the sound can help na hindi mashadong tunog lata ang audio and better quality compared sa cheaper phones. (4.) Wireless Charging is offered to more expensive phones kasi its use cases are useful but are considered more of luxury or convenience. So hindi naman siya useless gimmick imo. (ex. On your work desk, you just have to place it down the table kung intermittent use ka lang while working, rather than plugging it over&over again. Bed side table na trickle charging while sleeping. Another luxury is for mag safe wireless powerbanks). (3.) Yep, almost no one uses reverse charging. (2) Yep, even 4k 30fps can be a gimmick lang for the low or mid range na phones na hindi naman good ang image processing. You will still get poor looking videos, but with heavy file sizes. (1) Agree 100% hahaha
Other Runner Ups imo: Multiple camera set-ups, hindi lahat ng phones, pero may models talaga na unnecessary na and are just for the trend.

I will be immersed in my viewing experience on a phone if i use a pair of good sounding earphones, both wired & TWS. i currently have both Realme Buds Q2 and Silvertec F4 in ear wired earphones. Both give me very good audio experience when listening to music, watching CZcams videos, playing games, & watching movies on the VLC app. They even provide the stereo spatial sound needed when playing open space battle royale games & watching movies as if im in a theatre! Dolby Atmos phone speakers or whatever their speakers are have nothing on these great earphones & TWS buds of mine! 👍👍👍

I agree with you too. Sometimes, I wish that manufacturers would just create phones without all those gimiks so that 1) they could lower the price OR 2) they can put the funds into perfecting the necessary facets. Like for example, if your main camera isn't great yet in terms of night photography, then why bother putting a senseless 2mp macro cam right? Just go equip your phone with a better sensor or something.

For me, Gorilla Glass is quite important kase when I buy a phone, I hold on to it for at least around 3 years. I have an almost 4-year old phone and di ko na mabilang ilang beses syang nabagsak facedown and malamang sa basag na LCD nito if wala syang protection.
Siguro if you change phones like every year then OK lang if walang protection pero if you plan to use it longer then better if protected sya.

i agree. important na feature para sa phone ang merong protection sa screen like gorilla glass. yung Samsung A8 (2015) ko, nagamit ko for almost 3 years. throughout those years of ownership, wala akong case na nilagay. walang tempered glass, screen protector, or kahit anong pandagdag protection sa phone. naka gorilla glass 4 siya. sobrang tibay ng phone na yun na kahit isang basag sa screen, wala. marami lang siyang gasgas sa screen pero hindi siya visible unless tinapat mo sa lighting.

Good list, sir. For me, tied sa #1 gimmick yung high pixel count ng camera at high pixel count ng screen panel. A 4k panel is wasted on a phone because of the screen size, parang high pixel count ng cam na nauuwi din naman sa pixel binning. Sa usual screen size ng smart phones ngayon na 5.99"-6.8", you can hardly tell the difference between a 480p video and a 720-1080p movie dahil compressed unlike if you view it on a 42-60" TV. 4k on a phone screen is not worth the money they ask for it, IMO.

2) Notches at punch holes.

I have to disagree on the first one. I have an oppo phone that has Dolby Atmos speakers and I would say, sound-wise, it's almost there at apple standards. I'm a musician btw, so sounds are the name of my game. my ear, over the years with experience, can hear the minute differences of sounds. There's a ton of devices that has different results when it comes to the quality of sound. I also test the sound of my music on different devices's speakers and a number of earphone/headphones. I would agree a bit on what you said. My take though is, when you have dual speakers on your device/phone, there you can hear and maximize the value of the said branded internal speakers. When it's only one, you can't enjoy it as much. I would say up until now, the golden standard for me and other musicians on best internal speakers is still apple. Yeah they experiment for it for a bit still like ipad 2 sounds better than ipad air 2, something like that. But it's still the best out there. When it comes to external speakers, I would agree 100% on that. If you want to enjoy your music completely, just get speakers. But we also have to remember, sound quality is still coming from the quality of the sound file from the phone. But for musicians on the go, Having good internal speakers is still important for us nonetheless. It's not just having good speakers per Se, it's having the best quality of sound + speakers that changes the game. You can have good speakers but shitty file, it's still not going to be the same. I can go on details about the mic quality as well that influences sound capture but that's another topic for another time.
    There's my side on it! 😁 - from a musician + composer.

For typical phones na walang audio tuner most likely sounds quality are not great so if you are music enthusiastic much preferably doon ka sa phones na merong audio tuner.....

For Dolby Atmos, it is not meant to work on the default built in speakers of the phone. It's not physical Implementation, it's an emulation. Implementation nya is software based and is meant to EMULATE a 3D experience via the phone's internal DAC thus you need wired headphones that supports 5.1, 7.1 or Atmos audio signals to take advantage of your phone's Dolby Atmos software integration.
Tl;dr it's for headphones, not phone speakers. It's also an emulation, so yea not the same as an actual atmos system.

@@lifeless.sandwich I rhink apple Iphones have really great image processing which is why yung colors and sharpness is really beautiful to look at compared to some like Xiaomi's which either makes everything too sharp or too dull in color

I have to disagree with what you've said with wireless charging and reverse, it's not a gimmick Afterall.
    Wireless charging:
Una: Sobrang useful nya pag may lakad ka then wala kang dala na charger tapos may wireless charging dock ang pinuntuhan mong kainan o mall which is installed sa table, for emergency it is indeed helpful and convenient lalo na sa mi 11 na capable of 67W which is a matter of mins lang you have the juice. (As I said nasa restaurant ka then available sa table ang wireless charging of course kakain ka lalagay mo cp mo if need mo charge - sa tingin mo gimmick siya? Kung oo bakit ka kasi mag wireless charge kung gagamitin mo pala, kaya nga may dock kasi pag nasa office ka ilalagay mo lang😅 while doing paper works then kunin mo incase may tumawag tas ilagay mo ulit.). Medyo kinulang ka sa logic upon explaining.
    Reverse Wireless charging:
VERY HELPFUL SA TWS KO and SWatch (lalo na hindi type c or common cable ang charger kaya it's a useful features I'm glad to have)
Yun lang add up ko no hard feelings that's my take on this matter.

No offense taken. Nililinaw ko lang din.
