    My T-Outliner took a trip up north with me in my gear bag and when I went to do my beard the blade had stopped working. I tried everything, adjusting the tensioner and blades. Only when I used this tip to adjust the motor arm did my bad boy come roaring back to life! Thank you so much for making this video, this saved me and now I can get my fresh on!! Not only that but I am now a mechanical master of the tool. BIGUP!!

      Thanks for your concern. However all the components in the clipper are grounded. When the switch is off there is no electricity flowing through the clipper. The electricity is only in the wire. So touching the clipper will not kill you. Touching the power source that sends power to the swith can shock you a bit, but not kill you. But i never was near that area. So its all good. 😊Thanks

My T-liners were not up to par and i would keep putting my money in the hands of businesses that didn't make any difference in the performance, but once I did this to them I got some super hitters!!! and I watched the your T-liner tension screw video and combined the two and that's was it, now all I need are your wooo wop t blades!

    Those two black screws are no longer on the newer Andis. You can't adjust the gap. The real adjustment that I've found is with the Tensioner. Some video's had me bend the arm all out of whack, so I pulled out my second pair and reset that tension arm, back to factor angle. It even was bent over to the right, so the blade will be centered too. Who would of thought. After sharping my blades and zero gap, they hit!

    what happens if you do this and the cutting blade starts going farther out than the guide blade? tension not tight enough?

    • @keepitsharp357
      @keepitsharp357  Před 9 lety +1

      in this case you will have to adjust and slide the blade over to the opposite direction or bend the tensions spring over slightly in the opposite direction

    • @fatsbigo
      @fatsbigo Před 7 lety

      Just loosen the 2 screws that holds the tension screw on the Armature. Tilt the tension spring the opposite side that the blade is going passed the stationary blade.

    • @keepitsharp357
      @keepitsharp357  Před 8 lety

    @AdrianHaynes619 Před 10 lety

    I'm having trouble with this one .when I do the last step tightening the last 2 black screws the cutter blade on the trimmer is moving left. When I try to tighten the bolt in the middle the triangle thing is turning with the bolt

    • @keepitsharp357
      @keepitsharp357  Před 10 lety +1

      sorry to hear things did not work out for you, I think we can fix the problem though. First of all it is common if the center nut is not really tight and you go to put the black screws in the moving arm will move. so you must get that nut tight. to stop the triangle from moving, this is what you do
      1. turn triangle counter clock wise about a 1/4 of an inch. by doing this you allow the triangle room to move while tightening the center screw.
      2. make sure you hold the moving arm in place while tightening the center screw
      after its tight and the triangle is not lined up with the holes don't worry
      3. now take your pliers squeeze triangle at the top and bottom and twist clock wise to get the holes lined up. then put the black screws in and everything should now line up

    • @keepitsharp357
      @keepitsharp357  Před 10 lety

      T L it can be a combination of things. there can be grime, dead skin, and grease trap in your blade. you would have to take the blade off and really clean it out. when the clipper run for a minute or so its stiff at first then it loosen up and then the blade will move better. also the tension spring may need an adjustment

    There is a proper tool for everything fam. Hex screws require a hex socket and ratchet. (1/8" 4 " long). Tell the people to use the right tool before they damage that screw.

      You are exactly right
      They saw me teaching people how to make their clipper maintain power instead of buying a new one. They are in business to sell clippers not for you to keep making your old one work. Shortly after this video they changed the screws to rivets. But i will do a video soon show how to still do this with those rivets. 😊👍

      D9084 if it's the blade it needs sharped mine was doing the same but I realized the lil space in between the blade and the clipper was pulling mine so I loosened it up so the gap was a lil bigger and it stopped.
