Starsailor, hailed as "Britain's best new band" in 2001 with their debut "Fever," formed at Wigan and Leigh Music College. Notable hits include "Good Souls" and "Alcoholic," with their albums "Love Is Here" and "Silence Is Easy" reaching Number Two on the UK charts. The remix of "Four to the Floor" topped charts in France. After a five-year break, the band reunited in 2014, enjoying success at festivals and international tours in 2015, including the UK, Europe, China, Korea, and a co-headline tour of the US and Canada with Embrace.

I’ve been a big Starsailor fan since their 1st album, but I am embarrassed to say that Zi only recently discovered that James has several solo albums out. I have 2 of them so far and I’m absolutely loving them. His voice is very unique and original. I can see how some would call it an “acquired taste”, but I love folks with voices that might not be a winner on a crap singing competition show. Music is not a competition. That’s the way to ruin it, in my opinion. Take care and keep it up fellas. I’m loving the recent albums even more that the earlier stuff. Know that you are appreciated and loved by SO many.
One of those masterpieces that has the power to represent a genre. What makes this album especially special is that it has a strong emotional appeal that other albums don't have. Best melody, best lyrics, best album. Long live the sailor!

Excellent show! I was fortunate enough to be in San Francisco when they played at Bimbo’s on the Silence Is Easy tour. I was in town for a trade show and found out they were playing a few streets away. I had missed their show in Detroit and was happy to catch them later on the tour. They did a cover of a U2 tune and I snagged the handwritten lyrics that were written on their itinerary. Plus, I got a set list, too. It was a great show and an excellent night. There’s something kinda strange yet liberating to go to a concert solo.🤷♂️🎶. Starsailor is one of those bands that always puts out great stuff. Their last album is SO good.
James walsh has never been away he's toured every year and played the hit songs .shame not many people supported him .Great band live

Saw them at the 02 Ritz Manchester. Dream concert, life long fan! They were amazing, the vocals and musicianship was awesome!!! Wish I was going to Parr Hall!
