    Hi,
    I need to replace my old model of Tefal Steam Iron.
    I bought Tefal GV9230, but I returned it.
    First of all, after 30 minutes of ironing, it starts leaking/drooping.
    Another issue I have is "intelligent" temp control. Looks like the plate never gets hot, properly hot for ironing bedding or jeans or linen clothing.
    I'm considering buying GV9071 or any other decent steam iron with temperature control and a non-drooping plate.
    GV9071 has temperature settings, but what about water drooping? Have you found any issues?
    Can you recommend any other model/brand and model?

      Hi Robert. If your iron was leaking from the start and not heating to full temp then it sounds as though you received a faulty one. I find the Tefal’s reliable and long lasting. We had to replace a fuse in our last model when the iron stopped heating up, but otherwise no problems.

    Hi and thank you for this video which helped me to choose the right product. However I have a question now. I bought the same model recently and was wondering about the continous steam output which you mentioned in the video (120g/min). I do not hear or see any steam coming from the iron without pressing the steam burst button. So it seems like it does not have the continuous steam output? Could this mean that its faulty or have I misunderstood something? Thank you very much in advance!

      @thehonestchannel  Před 4 lety

      Hi. Continuous steam is a feature of this model when the iron is in use (I.e not upright or on the station). I don’t hear it on mine either unless I hit boost, but you should follow up with the manufacturer if you have technical questions or issues with the way the iron works. I’m still really happy with mine : )

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  Před 4 lety +1

      Just to let you know we’ve contacted Tefal to request more info on the continuous steam. Will update when I hear back.

    • @XnAyNaZZguL
      @XnAyNaZZguL Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you for the reply. I am happy with the performance but I was just confused about the continuous steam feature since I cannot see or hear any steam without pressing the button. "Ordinary" irons for example have maximum of 120g steam burst when you press the steam button on them and you can hear and see that 120g of steam. Let me know if you get a reply from Tefal!

    Hi, thank you for the review. Is it normal for the appliance (main unit) and the cord (not the plugged one) to become warm while ironing? Thank you.

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi. Thanks for watching. Yes, I think my cord (between the unit and the iron) definitely heats up so that’s normal, and the base feels warm too but not very hot. If you think yours is overheating it would be a good idea to contact the manufacturer.

      @@iraQ9992 Is the iron part heating up? Before you buy a new one would be worth investing the problem and seeing if it’s easily fixed. For maintenance you have to release the anti scale valve on some of the models to clean. It would be worth googling

      @@thehonestchannel thank you for the piece of advice 😘, well... my iron is working fine but the steam is not coming out, the anti scale valve is stuck and the red plastic broken :(, another question for your iron please is setting it on Synthetic would give you a good heat ? I didn’t like the idea that I have to adjust it every time I need to do ironing also I wish the water tank has handle like my old iron so it’s easy to remove it then carry and refill ❤️
