Has been said before each Beach Boys album is different there are always gems there to suit your different moods. Disco music before HCTN this should have been pushed as such but the record companies just did know what they were going to get next from The Beach Boys. Wonderful lead vocal.
Loved this when it came out in the UK. Bought the 7 inch and still play it regularly as it reminds me of my late teens and is great fun. Thank you for the fun and the memories, it still makes me smile.👍
Yeh...I first heard it on this UK EP on Brother Reprise K14481: Side One: Mona + Rock And Roll Music / Side Two: Sail On, Sailor + Marcella. Mona's so great and really has such a simple chord progression. Most anyone who can play three chords, can play it!! And so cool that Brian had Dennis sing it!! Dig, DmGrk
