I love his 70's voice with his on point 80s/90s beats. Definitely a band for the history books.
A band? I think you mean person.
T. Van H no it’s a band, he’s right😂
@@michaelpapiez9683 well they are both kind of right. Kevin composes and produces then plays all the instruments on the album cuts and in concert he has 2 friends that help him fill out "the band"
sherrod336 yeah I knew that but to say Kevin does it all his own ain’t accurate
He is definitely one person, that's why he really doesn't have that much music. It takes him a long time to release music because he is making it himself. It's only a band when he plays live because he can't play all of the instruments and sing all at once.
Best song in Tame Impala's catalog, personal opinion. This song transcends what we know as music and is simply blissful.

The level of detail his music has is undeniably genius what....
These songs are very detailed, but I think the songs on Currents and Lonerism are possibly even more detailed. "New Person, Same Old Mistakes" is so intricate, probably his greatest work. "Apocalypse Dreams", "Runway, Houses, City, Clouds", and "Patience" are extremely detailed and layered songs too, if you haven't heard those I highly recommend.

for real man, the synth parts on this album remind me of bladerunner sountrack or oneohtrix point never. He needs to more with this. There's so many subtle instruments lurking in the background of this masterpiece that it's almost a challenge to pick them out and distinguish their parts. I hope this is the music millenials are remembered by in 60 years.
a haunting sadness perhaps this is why this album hasnt caught on in the same way as currents yet. it is a much better album musically, but the richness lies in the subtlety and the rhythms, whereas currents’ pleasures are plainly presented.
from a Gen X, I reckon mate.
@@noahsabadish3812 Finally, someone who thinks the same. Incredible music
I need to hear this music everyday. It speaks to my soul in a way that no human being ever has. Believe me it has...
This track is the biggest proof of Kevin Parker being a "one of a kind" pop musician/songwriter.
The man that brought late 60's psychedelia back to media attention ten years ago now has turned into a classy soft rock/yatch rock revivalist.
This song is a fuckin' banger with that Happy Mondays-esque piano, the Fleetwood Mac vibes and the shocking inspired-by Daft Punk ending.
Genius!
The clean piano sounds fantastic
A song that really grabs the listener by the throat emotionally. So much sensitivity and melancholy in this one. If art has been purging passions since Antiquity, this song fulfils this role to perfection. Personally, the cathartic effect is profound. Breathe Deeper is the kind of song that makes me cry and allows me to evacuate the pain I carry within me. The melodies sung by Kevin are so harmonious and sad. Masterpiece...and this piano alone in the middle of the song, a tribute to Trax records? What a beauty... I'm 48 years old and I don't think I could have been happier in 2020...
48 yrs old here too. Well said, Marion. My thoughts on this song also.
This is one of the most beautiful comments I have ever seen.I'm 49.
@Marion Rousset, that was so eloquently put.
47. You're in my head!
Good God, I thought I was re-reading something I had written. Except (I remembered) Im 43. Never been so hyped about a band since Oasis in 1994.
Can't believe it's been a year already, I can still remember my first time listening to this song and the whole album the day it came out, walking to school speechless.
I'm in my car YELLING about how good this song is
RIGHT ON !!!! Fucking ...ASTOUNDING, isn't it !!
@@1292liam with the bass and the beat, absolutely insane
Me too
Dido
This is the kinda stuff we're going to show to our kids one day and be like ''This son... this is REAL music''
I just wanted to say the first time I read your comment this song was recommended to me by a friend, and at first I didn't like it all. Then slowly I started liking it, and now I love it! I must say I completely agree with your statement now.
i agree with this so much, i will be doing that when im a dad.
Already do! Hes two hes says i can I can
I already do. My kids love it.
This is an artsy depiction of modern music 😁
Not a song that really stood out to me off The Slow Rush early on but has recently become one of my favourites from the album and Tame Impala overall. The drum beat is probably my favourite part of the tune but that pre-chorus has such power and drive, particularly, and then its joined by KP's dreamlike vocals. The breakdown and groovy re-introduction at the end... whole song just makes me want to get up and go get shit done, make the most of it all. Real energy. Can't get enough!
Tame Impala makes songs that strike that chord in your heart and gives you chills
Gonna be the song of the summer. Hands down. Windows rolled down. Sunshine breaking through the trees on a twisted country road. Schools out...
school is already out...
song of quarantine
What summer?
We can but hope.
Nice visual
The slow rush is way more funky and danceable (if that's word) than currents ?
totally
true
Actually kevin did say that when he would go to friends weddings and a song of his was played everyone would leave the dancefloor. At first he thought it was funny but then he felt like it was a void in his music that needed to be filled
@@theveganflower5135 bruh
Currents was like an emotional experience but as I’m hearing this album over and over the past month or two, it’s full of just incredibly well crafted pop singles that are catchy and very danceable but very less emotionally inept than the material on Currents
The beat mixed with his voice takes it to a spiritual level
This song gets better and better every time i hear it. I went from thinking its ok when it was first released to it now being one of my favorite TI songs
best track of 2020 and its only February.
MiLiTARYx4 yep
Even though many albums are coming out this year by great artists, this one just might take the cake for me too.
Already
Best track of the decade
THIS SHIT IS HARD BRO, THEY'RE AMAZING
I've listened to this like 30 times now and it still hasn't gotten old. Truly a masterpiece!
3 levels. Hits all the sensations. Well done.
Such a beautiful voice with some awesome vocals it is pure music I love it props to Tame Impala
Kevin Parker is one of the most if not THE most talented music artist of our generation. He writes, produces, sings and does it all by himself. Album after album, he delivers. Incredibly gifted.
