The Pulley by George Herbert in Tamil Bharath Ravindran. Bharath Academy. Herbert inverts the famous myth of Pandora box. When God created man He had with him a box which contained all kinds of blessings. The blessings are found scattered all over the world. He bestowed these blessings on man. Almost all the blessings had come out of the box, except the blessing rest. If God had bestowed that last remaining gift also on man, he would attach more importance to these gifts instead of Him. So God had decided to let man keep all other blessings. His enjoyment of them would destroy by a feeling of restlessness. So he should be driven to seek Him by his feeling of fatigue.
