  • The shape of pastry tip you use for this churros recipe is very important. If the tip isn’t closed, or rounded off, the churros may break as you’re frying them (we used size 845 tips). Keep that in mind if you’re using a different size-the cook times may vary. The sugar matters, too. Conventional granulated is too fine and raw sugar is too coarse-it won't stick to the churros.

For all the poeple whinning about the origin of churros: YES, THEY ARE FROM SPAIN. But remember, México was colonized by the spanish, so the ancient cultures had a magical ingredient called chocolate which eventually was mix with the churros, cinamon and sugar giving result in the amazing delicious dish we all know now.

To all the Spanish people complaining here: I'm also Spanish, my family owns a churreria, and believe me these are maybe mexican but surely not spanish churros 😂
Just for your information, another way to make churros (the spanish way): boil water, like a cup for every cup of flour; add salt to the flour and mix it with the hot water; then, simply fry them in a lot of oil (use olive oil for better results). Set aside and add sugar to it. These are simpler, but I promise you they're delicious 😍

do people in mexico also use these mixers? I dont have one and literally all recipes on this channel use those mixer machines and I wonder if we can do it with a hand one or just with your hands and still get the same results.

HeirOfGlee yes, you can, just use a flat wood spoon to mix it until it becomes smooth. It should take a little bit longer, though. Buena suerte!
