Some corrections and addition-
1.Also carry ender pearls
2.Eat a gap twice or thrice for saturation
3.Never put thorns on your pvp set as decreases armor durability a lot
4.Also carry bottle of enchanting to heal your stuff

Some tips from me
Sword PvP:
1. Adjust your sensitivity for better aim
2. Don't spam crits balance between crits and combos(from ground)
3. Learn w tapping
4. Learn strafing

2:00 Most of the players who play on competitive servers like Hypixel on Java edition and Hive or Cubecraft on Bedrock Edition has to use 1.8 combat mechanics in which you can spam attack, Hypixel is hosted on 1.8.9 which is the latest version of Java edition that can support old combat system on Java edition and Hive and Cubecraft servers on Bedrock Edition are always updating to newer versions because Mojang hasn't yet added new Combat system to latest versions of Bedrock Edition, so only on SMP and on some servers Java edition's new combat system is used for PvP and sword is the fastest and most powerful because it has +1 damage than axe and there's no cooldown which is more exciting and easy to learn

Bro a tip for you if you eat 3 or 2 golden apples then you can a full exhaustion bar too which means double hunger bar which mean you heal more but your hunger bar should be full after eating 3 or 2 golden apples so remember that 3 or 2 golden apples should full your hunger bar.
In java if you eat 2-3 golden Apple it will give you saturation it will help a lot in pvp

When u are criting u are not spriting but while pvping u are sprinting so u are not getting crits if u don't sprint u will get crits also while sprinting leave the sprint key then hit it will give a crit
