  • This was taken directly from Garrett Gilchrist's uploads, just deinterlaced. I don't think a full frame version of this is on CZcams so I thought I'd do that duty. Probably the closest we'll get to a trailer of Richard's original vision.
This trailer was produced somewhere between 1988-1992, my guess is 1990, it mentions the film being in production for the past 24 years and I wouldn't be surprised if they used the publication of Williams' Nasrudin in 1966 as a benchmark, though it's been pointed out that many of these scenes were only completed in 1991.

I know. I imagine if the film was completed properly by it’s creator.

Great quality, unlike the first original video that has upload in 17 years ago. 👏😊

Imagine if the 1992 workprint VHS had video and audio quality like this:

This would've shown the good timeline how the movie would've gone with WB instead of Miramax/Disney

It's 1991, not 1990. The film reels date 1991 when most of the scenes in the trailer were made.

Thanks! The ~ means 1990 is just a general year. We don't know what year this is from for sure so that was just a general estimate. I'll update the title though.

@@ZiggyCashmereI must say, where did you find this, this trailer is in much better quality than the one Garrett has on his channel.

Gilchrist included a higher quality version within the scrapbooks on the Internet Archive.

@@ZiggyCashmereI don't recall seeing it in his scrapbooks. I've found the KA Reel audios from one of his scrapbooks many years ago, but never saw the WB Trailer in one of them.

It's been a long time since I downloaded this. It might have come from a separate link somewhere in the old orangecow thread.
