- We are halfway through the second installment of our "From Paris with Love" series, so we decided to take a brief detour to Los Angeles to check in with two of LA's best chefs, Matt Molina and Kris Yenbamroong.
These chefs prepare two of Action's favorite dishes: the seasonal crudo at Matt's restaurant Hippo and the crispy rice salad at Kris's restaurant Night+Market.
Later on we dig into some Thai-style crunch wraps, plus much more!

Good idea! Although I’d prefer to see Matty take Action around where he grew up, in the Fort Erie / Niagara Falls area. I used to live a few doors down from his family growing up. They are awesome people all around

'Khao soi queso'. Wow that sounds good. Not too long ago I was in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and ate a chicken khao soi at this unassuming little restaurant where the owners barely spoke English. I promise you it was the best thing I've ever eaten. Came with a little bit of raw pickle and red onion on the side and the way it balanced with the flavours of the main dish oh my GOD it was a masterpiece. I can't bring to mind a single dish that's on that level. I'd travel to LA just to try this guy's khao soi queso! I love food so much and this show makes me love it even more. Fuckin love you Action.

So much respect for Action & his food game, he's given a lot of exposure to some great places like Baadmash. IDK if you can say a hard shell taco is the best in LA, there's so many street corner stands he has to pull up to in LA, east los, la puente, pomona, etc. Action, please get back to LA and hit up AVE 26 in LA, hit up the taco cart stand in East Los, Tacos El momo, hit up Metro Basilica in West Covina and get the suadero quesadilla. PPL add on to this.
I think he was saying crunchy tacos specifically. There are amazing tacos all around So Cal, the carts will always be the most authentic, but I won't lie I love a hard shelled taco. It's the crunch with the salsa that does it for me.

It’s really really tasty and fun. Almost a party atmosphere. I’d go with some other spots for best/most authentic LA thai but it’s going for more a different vibe
I ate at the location in Vegas and the food is really good, tons of powerful flavors.
