To say he was then expected to beat his opposition of a very much active aworld champion with a 95% K0 record, is kind of a slight on what he did. We just didn't know how well Tyson had recovered.

    Ben should have just been humble enough to be in the camp and work with another trainer. No ego...this was an opportunity of a lifetime and Ben is still young and cutting his teeth. I think he was immature to refuse to be on the ticket if other trainers are brought in. Look how it worked out for AJ/Ruiz 2. Big-up to Rob for allowing other trainers into the camp without copping an attitude.

    • @deaddropholiday
      @deaddropholiday Před 4 lety +1

      Errr ... no Ben did EXACTLY what any good trainer should do and walk away. Don't forget - it's the trainer's responsibility to save the fighter from himself. Think of Eddie Futch pulling Joe Frazier out of the last round against Ali in Manilla. Frazier never spoke to Futch again after what he thought was a "betrayal". And yet Futch knew more about his man than anyone. He knew that the chances of Frazier, who was blind in both eyes, walking out of that ring (as opposed to being carried out) were zero. Ali would have killed him. And Futch wasn't prepared to have that on his conscience. He saved Frazier's life. So what happens if Fury gets into trouble against Wilder and there are conflicting voices in the corner? What if Ben knows his fighter is shot but the towel doesn't go in because he's being overruled. NO WAY would any trainer worth his salt go into such a situation.

    • @soldier-boy-fitness
      @soldier-boy-fitness Před 4 lety

      We really don't know what was said between BEN and TYSON, but even more important HOW it was said. The game plan worked perfectly last time, it was Tyson that got careless in the last round and that was the difference. Ben would have told before going out into the 12th round. your winning the fight don't do anything stupid, keep your distance and stay on the back foot. It is easier said than done though. Getting in a new trainer was undermining Ben IMO. After watching the fight a few times Ben knew that some adjustments needed to be made.
      Hope I am wrong and Tyson does a real job on him. Good luck to both boxers!

He has to K.O Wilder and I don't see it happening because he's not a K.O artist while Wilder is and at 231 pounds he's gonna hit Tyson even harder. I hope I'm wrong and eat my words. Fury will KO Wilder.. Though I am concerned this is a PBC fight. I think Fury has put on muscle as has wilder. Fury was faster when he wasnt in as good of shape. Wilder being 231 is an all time heavy for him.. And he definitely put on muscle. That said, muscle is heavier than fat even.. He was already slower than Fury.. That will make him slower even. However, the weight gain for Fury and him being faster and Wilder being likely slower and getting tired quicker.. I think it favors Fury for the KO. I don't know when.. Likely mid to late rounds. But fury may catch him early.
