Great to see people training diligently like this. it's funny though how kids always create this culture of mono-tone kiai's. in karate we would only use a kiai on a "highlight" strike or at the end of a set of techniques, which i feel adds to its meaning and importance by reducing it's use or overuse, because a kiai really is a "spirit-tool" that gives extra power if everyone isn't fatigued of it as a concept/practice, same goes for "osu" or "hai" (not sure what that is in. it's koren) also funny seeing how high all the stances are, but that's just style difference. I don't mean offense though. It's just, kiai's in adults classes can come across like exorcisms, that's the level of "spirit" you want to experience and express.. but in all honesty, even with having kiai's less used in karate, kids were still equally mono-tone most the time.
