Full HD 1080p video with exclusive smart three-axes stabilisation
14 megapixel fisheye camera that provides undistorted lines
User-controlled 180-degree vision, fully digital, doesn't affect the drone's movements
First-person viewpoint piloting thanks to the Skycontroller Two dual-band Wi-Fi antennas for 2.4 GHz MIMO frequencies, generates its own Wi-Fi network and extends Bebop Drone's range up to 1.2 miles (1.93 km)
FreeFlight 3: an ultra-intuitive piloting app, available for free download on the App Store Store and share flight data on CZcams and the Parrot Cloud
The Parrot Bebop Drone performs to the highest standards, every time. To ensure optimal stability without compromising manoeuvrability, the Bebop Drone automatically analyses data from numerous three-axes sensors - accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer. There's also one ultrasound sensor with eight metres reach, one pressure sensor and a vertical camera to track the speed. Equipped with a 14 megapixel fisheye camera, the Parrot Bebop Drone records videos and pictures in a 180° field with remarkable image quality.
Fly further and higher with Skycontroller
Equipped with an amplified Wi-Fi 36 dBm radio and with four antennas, the Parrot Skycontroller extends the Bebop Drone's Wi-Fi range and lets the pilot take the helm of the drone via two ultra-precise joysticks. You can also control the orientation of the fisheye camera with one dedicated pad and watch through Bebop's eyes. Dock and connect your iOS device and sync with your Bebop Drone over Wi-Fi on the FreeFlight 3 app. Skycontroller can also be used as a stand-alone remote control.
Thank you Blunty for this amazing review. We loved your French accent ;-)
We appreciate your thoroughness AND the quality of the images. We'll definitely include some parts of your video in our next Best-Of Users, if you allow us.
Have great flights,
Parrot Web Team
Parrot And thank you parrot team, for developing such enjoyable solid drone :)
I love your products. Wish I had one/ could afford it
+Parrot French accent? Preeeetty sure it's Australian.
+ChandlerBingalingg He does a french accent when he is impersonating the Parrot team at 11:18.
Well done Parrot! I am very impressed with your follow up and interaction. From all I have read here today I will now take a serious look at the product for myself.
"That's about 1.6 miles if you're still using the old measurements"
Instant like and sub!
Camera stabilizing is really amazing. The scenery was also amazing.
Sydney Botanical Garden :) really amazing.
Strooth mate, gota say, I really like your no holes barred description of the drongoes who can't manage to put the buffers on the right way round.
If only all reviewers were as articulate & informative as this geezer.
I'll be purchasing one as a xmas present to myself. Good job mate!
Looks like the Bebop's camera is very rocksteady.
Honestly blew me away.
I see what you did there;)
Mumbles I reckon the Go-pro would shed 'er.
Mumbles you son of a bitch LOL!
Mumbles Turtles quote for the win!
excellent review, entertaining, just the right amount of humor. Thank you from Toronto, Canada.
Thank you for giving me and others the OLD measurements
great review of drone covered all my needs to know what it does as i want a drone to inspect crops i'm starting to grow and it will save loads of time walking up and down my field and will be handy to check out some roof problems.
The controller unit is so nerdy, I love it. I was thinking, it could be cool to use the Parrot Bebop's hover feature as a make-shift "tripod" for a piece to camera. Great review as always, Blunty! There's a reason why my subscription to your channel hasn't ceased since I started my account many many years ago. While I've unsubbed from many channels over the years, never have I once unsubbed from yours due to the consistent quality of your videos.
Liked, shared and subscribed. Simply because I like your presentation. Also because I've just ordered a Bebop ;)
I fucking love your reviews! You are just way better than anyone else at making review because you know what your talking about! You keep a little humour in your videos without making it look awkward when i see that you've uploaded a video i just have to watch it even if its not something interesting for me it is when your reviewing it! I never thought that drones would ever interest me but since you've started reviewing them, i want one so bad because i want to be able to get amazing shots or just to have fun with it! Keep doing reviews i love watching them!!
Great review! I plan on buying one now. With the skycontroller of course.
Great review. I like how you point out how so many people put the bumpers on wrong. I was thinking the same thing.
jonahdx RIGHT? It drives me BATTY seeing all these "tech reviewers" failing to do something as simple as put the friggin bumpers on the right way up. The fuck are they even DOING calling themselves tech bloggers/reviews/etc? Can't even tell the damn writing is upside-down, or that the colours are the wrong way around.
TO THE ICE-MOON PRIZON FOR THEM ALL!!!
Thanks for the great report, I've spent all morning at work looking for a suitable bit of kit like this for property shots and video... your report has convinced me to part with the cash...!!
Fabulous review. I look forward to using my Parrot Bebop.
Wow amazing review!!! This is the best one ive seen of the bebop on CZcams, outstanding job.
Probably the best reviewer on the web, cheers Blunty
Wow, ima gonna buy one today cause of your AMAZING review
your review made me make my final decision to jump for best drone after have experimented or trained whit small price cuadropters now its time for the big leagues ,tks very much!
Wow...that's pretty impressive. .I've watched hundreds of multicopter videos and you did a great job...I never took Parot co seriously because of not having a proper radio and crappie video but this is a great step up...hope e they make with 4k soon....great job Blunty.....
Sidney is beautiful mate, good review
You Mr. Blunty are getting very good with them drones! ;)
Perfect review! Best I have seen about the bebop so far! Could not be done better! Thanks much!
Fab review Blunty , thankyou. Just what I wanted to know when thinking about getting a beebop !
I've got a phantom 4 but this actually looks like much more fun - I could never fly it through the small spaces you flew the parrot in the video.
Thanks for the excellent review.....made me go out and buy one. Cheers
I think this is a great bit of kit for Armatures. I'd love to get my hands on one of these for a review and to use to create content. Thanks for the great review Blunty. You've made my mind up for me :)
The comparison at 3 minutes in is crazy cool. Since when did digital stabilisation get so good?
An easy way of making the Sky Controller more handy would be to make it fold up in the middle somehow.
Great review. I used to live in Randwick, Sydney and great to see so many places I recognise. I had been thinking about getting the Parrot 2.0 drone and using my Hero4 silver with it though i'm tempted to go for the bebop now. The 1080 camera will be more than enough for my humble needs. Here in the UK the bebop and controller are around £700 and allowing for a decent sized tablet and a couple more batteries etc I reckon i'll be parting with the best part of £1K to set myself up. Not cheap but looks brilliant fun!
So glad you reviewed this Blunty.. always trust your reviews.
Thank you for a candid and informative review. You do have the gift of imparting the right information for us folks just starting out in the drone world.
Thoroughly enjoyed your video Blunty. Great job, please take the afternoon off.....hehe.
Outstanding Review! Very informative. It's tough to get these key pieces of info for most quadcopters.
Think I might need to get one of these drones thanks nice video
Very cool video Blunty back than it cost a lot to buy now a day's not so much I have a Bebop 2 and a Yellow Bebop with the sc1 and I love it take care and Happy Flyng
such an enjoyable review. Definitely something that I'm saving for and have indeed been drooling over. Like the broad range of information and POVs on the various aspects of the product as you would indeed hope for in any good review. Thanks!!
That is some amazing shots you have there.
Well, I guess the more simplistic battery attachment might save some precious weight. Great quality review! Helped me a lot with my decision. Thanks.
Very nice review, I may consider buying one.
Wow! Thanks for a thorough and interesting review with great video footage and clever narration!
I never, ever, care about subscribing to people. this man was so cool and informative that I felt like if I didn't subscribe, I would kill myself. I was planning on buying a bebop drone but now after watching this video I have no choice but to get it with the cobtroller. Thanks Blunty, best you tuber I've ever seen.
I've got one and try to fly like this video. Thanks
A pleasure to watch. Thank you.
very detailed review. Thanks mate.
very good review ... really its the first time that i want to have one of this.... i have a phantom 3, but one of this to play and enjoy a more informal would be nice
This is the best review I have seen on this drone 👍.so it's made me want to buy this one ..
Great video very informative. I was really hoping it was a Cowboy Bebop drone though.
Excellent review! I'm just wanting to get into the drone game so all this information was amazing. Liked - check. Commented - check. Subscribed - check!
Awesome! wish I had a reason to own one. or the money to own one. sweet review as usual!
Excellent video, congratulation!
Wow, looks as good as Sonys software to stop camera shake, bravo.
thx for the review, I am going to buy this drone!!!
Thank you so much for this video!
I love your review. Thank you for the detailed infos. Subscribed to your channel.
Thanks blunty very imformative as im looking at purchasing one of these
Great review. I'm going to buy one...
Nice review! Helped with my decision to buy!
*the drone that stuck around! for what one would pay for this however you could have a DJI and for what it costs with the sky controller you could have the phantom 2 vision plus*
Excellent review. Kept on track, speaking fast enough to keep the interest there but not so fast that I was ever lost.
Now that DJI are putting a lot of models out in the market would you still be willing to recommend the Bebop?
Great video, nicely explained
Great review. Thanks
God damn you Blunty. All your drone videos have made me want to treat myself to one!
Nice bridge.
Fantastic review! Thanks!
excellent video thanks answered a lot of questions even price range, ideal for not going up a ladder, looking for damage on roofs ect thanks... :-)
Good review well thanks to you i bought one :)
Greetings from Belgium
great review thankyou ! just bought one
I can tell you why there's a separate battery connector on the Bebop, so you can use custom batteries. Looks like a fairly standard RC airplane connector. just get a battery that is close to the same weight, and you'll keep the center of gravity. Excellent!
awesome review!!
You flew quite bravely across quite a large body of water there... I would have thought you'd be at least a LITTLE nervous after that thing that happened previously :P
I'd say the velcro strap only ended up there because it carried over from the previous generation AR Drones (I had a 1.0) but there it was OK because the foam shell then covered it. Looking at it, they really should have re-used the mechanism from the charger.
But thanks to your endorsement I've now discovered the world of nano-drones, picked up a "neon-X" it seems to be styled a little like a Phantom, and I'm LOVING IT!
I had little fear with the Bebop... it holds its own altitude, it has GPS, and it has a clear battery low warning... I had no compunction about taking this beastie over water :) (though it wasn't until my third or fourth set of flights that I was confident enough, had to prove itself before I took that risk again ;) )
Blunty thanks for the review - funny rant lol - have you had any issues with fly aways since you have had it for a while, and tried it with some fpv goggles?
Stephen Wright Haven't any goggles to fly with, and no real fly-aways, though on day one I was flying with the phone only and flew past my range (My fault for not setting the height ceiling properly) and I did lose control; czcams.com/video/gaSEJhBzP7U/video.html
Great vid!
Thank you for doing this review.
I bought one after watching this clip. thanks to Blunty and Bebop drone
Wait this is the Bebop one I was thinking about buying this but I saw videos that said this drone was terrible but you changed my mind back I'm buying it
7:50 loving this video
great video
Great review. Why didn't you suggests a folding sky controller?
Great informative review!
This was a great review!!
I love the yellow unit. That is the one I want. Sadly ITS NOT AVAILABLE!! I get the feeling this style of the unit is not available here in the states.
You fly very close to various bodies of water :D
Hey Blunty, loved this review! Been a long time subscriber and this is something that I want to buy! Never have had a quad copter but want to start doing some great flight video. I've had a few RC helicopters and got decent at flying them. Do you recommend me getting another quad Copter to practice first or do you think I can handle this one. I'll be getting the pro controller with it aswell
Hey Blunty, nice review! How long does the battery take to charge if you wouldn't mind?
Brilliant review mate!
You've sold me just on this demo, my first foray into Drone Aerials.
Looks amazingly stable, and I hope they sort out the battery issue and motor cutout function. Do you have any footage file to download for a closer analysis? You tube compression can be off putting. Thanks heaps!
Hi great video just what I was looking for, please can you tell me, I see you can take pictures on your phone but can we record on are phone of the flight
GREAT review!!
Great review man 👍🏽❤️
Excellent review: I've been looking forward to this one!
Did you give it a whirl using your iPad?
Excellent Review! I want one lol
Great review!
Hi Blunty! Got a question for you. With the release of the Behop 2, do you think you will be doing a review on it as well? Also just as a little side comment I have to say I absolutely love your videos. This one in particular has sparked my love of drones and quadcopters. Because of this video I have been looking into purchasing a Bebop from Parrot but since they released the version 2, I was hoping to get your opinion on it and have you put it through it's paces so to speak. Anyway, take care and have a fantastic day!
You deserve more subs
Awesome review thank you, one thing, i noticed water dropplets on the sky controller, can this drone be flown in light rain?
It's not officially rated as water resistant... but yes I did, and had no issues. this is not a recommendation and, not a guarontee etc etc etc... ;)
It's pretty amazing how stable the footage is, but I just can't stand the high shutter speed look. I know it's needed for the stabilisation, but it's something that would make me go for a dji with a gopro instead.
And is there a way to use the app with an xbox controller? It would be a much cheaper way of getting physical control.
Was pretty amazed with this one, until I saw the price...
I'd probably just spend a few $100 more and grab the DJI Phantom 2 Vision+. Gives a lot more flexibility with the camera, and the specs seem similar, if not better.
Thanks and btw, you are smart! Great review!
haha love the french part :)
Ace review m8
It was going soo well until the price :-(
I would love one of these but it's our of my price range. My cheaper less smarter $99 quad went for a drink in post Philip bay the other weekend... Mobius and all. I so needed a camera feed to set where it was landing.
Otherwise a very good review Blunty ::-)
Does this have a gps set up so that if it crashes and you can't see it you can locate it?
Thanks for the incredible review.
