    What I like about Baha’u’llah is that he has taught that just because you believe something it doesn’t make it true. Truth is gleaned through independent investigation and love. If it doesn’t result in unity it needs to be abandoned, period.

    Even when one chooses "incorrectly," one is still choosing God's Will. Failure is God's Will as well as success. The "choice" is , God or self. One should learn quickly which choice feels better, indeed, healthy.

      This sounds familiar to me. Is this from the writings? And if so where could I find, please?

      Hmmm. Do you mean, we as human beings have no will power or choice? Wouldn't that make us robots? What about responsibility for our actions?

      The natural extension of free choice or 'existentialism' can be belief in God because of what Christine said. Our good and bad choices are fully predicted and guided by the lord.

    I'm extrapolating. A faith war should not be solved with politics but with a third faith who's raison d'etre is non-denominational peace :)

    An "islamic" religion. World? Not really

    • @wendyscott8425
      @wendyscott8425 Před 7 měsíci +15

      @JamshidRowshan, you said, "An "islamic" religion. World? Not really". The Bahá'í Faith is not an "islamic religion." It's a new Revelation from God. The same as Christianity, which is not a Jewish religion but a new Revelation from God. Islam also fulfills Christian prophecies, although most people don't realize that, but the explanation is in the Bahá'í writings and makes perfect sense of what had seemed inexplicable, especially in the Book of Revelation in the Bible.
      As for whether the Bahá'í Faith is a world religion, in just 150 years or so, it has spread to every country and territory of the world, its writings have been translated into around 800 languages, and its teachings are world-embracing. It establishes new and different teachings from Islam like the equality of men and women and the forbidding of slavery. So-called holy war is not allowed, only peaceful means to spread the teachings. All contributions to the Faith are voluntary and can only be given by believers. Clergy are not permitted (one of the reasons the early believers were considered such a threat to Islam). Bahá'u'lláh commanded us to "Consort with the followers of all religions with friendliness and fellowship." There are no unclean people or objects. This religion is not based on the Qur'án although it acknowledges it as a Holy Book. It's based on Bahá'u'lláh's writings, about 6 million words worth extant in the Holy Land.
      I hope this explains things well enough. Feel free to ask questions if you like. We love to answer those as our questions were answered when we asked them in our search for truth.

      In arabic, Islam means peace. A boat load of wankers decided that it really meant 'My piece of the world'

      Yes, a question: did you read the Apocalipse of John? "Revealed" in Greek (with gramatical mistakes) 60 years after the death of Jesus written and copy of copy of copies by Who knows Who. Thank you

      @@JamshidRowshan Not sure what facts you're talking about, but if you think they're contradictory, no problem. I'm not here to change anyone's mind, just share what I have found to be true for myself. Obviously, not everyone is going to agree with me. After 60 years in the Faith, I'm pretty used to that!
