- I was shocked to discover just how deeply sectarianism has penetrated into all theological schools. Sectarianism is the leading cause of Muslim backwardness.

Sir, the concerns you have are similar to that of mine. You highlighted them in your CZcams channel; I do it in my friends circle. I, most of the time, find myself unable to convince people. These ideas, propagated by Fatwas, are so well-entrenched in people's minds that they are not even ready to hear the other side of the story. How come in such an environment one can convince them? I am looking for a solution to this issue. I have very high hopes that you will definitely chart a plan by which we combinely counter the issue.

Most relegion are idiotic to believe and Orthodox it doesnt free your mind but bind it with limited holy books mainly in islam cauz it doesn't got evolved like Christians and Judaism did till now !! Idea of relegion just limit your mind to one thing people should be fluid take idea from everyone and make best out of it but abrahmic relegion made this impossible to happen especially islam

Actually the reason for sectarianism in religion is quite simple, the moment u start using ur intellect to understand something it will cause bifurcation and divide bcz our intellect is essentially a cutting instrument which we use to dissect things in order to analyse them.
Everyone and everybody wants Peace, Justice and Prosperity in the country and whoever brings it is welcome and my vote is for them

You can't apply the rules of book from 1400 yrs ago it's common sense ya respect is there for prophet but many ideas are outdated just pick which are amazing and leave the rest!! That's how society evolve with time !! And i hope it changes with time!! I can see hope in middle East let's see what happen to Pakistan

Sir, it's the biggest tragedy in Pakistan. First, they passed a resolution of blasphemy of Sahaba, and later on, getting an opportunity, they themselves hung objectionable stuff against sahaba on the dog's neck. And blamed the opponents. Luckily, the investigation report showed that they themselves were involved in that conspiracy. Still, we think democracy will work in our society. These 5 years, temporary politicians are puppets and shouldn't have any power. Establishment and army are fine for our society. Regarding sectarian, my opinion is like that; we have got Islam through two different ways: one through politician/darbari system/raaja system/kingdoms/monarchy, another through suppressed group of people, who always were killed or poisoned by the monarch for showing the real face of Islam.

Never ever talk about religion in Pakistan as if you're talking to educated people, people that are tolerant. In fact, never give your point of you and give disclaimers after and before each statement you make.
I agree with most of your ideas Dr. Sahab and I like that you're trying to inculcate critical thinking and reasoning among the masses through your work. However, I disagree with your black and white comparison of science and theology, science being accepting and evolving while theology being frozen in time. If u look deeply into how theology develops and how different sects emerge, you'll see that it's very much rooted in the historical context and a product of its time. It's not like someday someone gets up and just comes up with a new sect or a different theology. Theology is very dynamic and evolves with time too. I'm sure you understand that already but I disagree with the way you did the comparison.

Theology's claim about itself is that it is a given. A fixed solution valid for all times.
In most cases yes but I'd be a little hesitant to make a generalization. In many cases People/communities are very accepting and understanding of the idea of evolution of theology and having multiple interpretations. You would find people and communities who think it's necessary for theology to evolve according to the time and context so that it can be relevant and provides updated guidance. I think your idea fits/represents a certain fundamentalist thinking among many religions around the world who think theology is frozen in time and try to apply certain things from the past to the present anachronisticicallly. But I think I do understand what you're trying to say.

@@nvd_ub Taimur is right. Read the book, it starts with "this is the final word and a word from the god". At this point it's just question of interepetation. And often interpretation done by those in power will be accepted or gets accepted! A brittle material (one who has decided the only state it would live in) cant bend and form into something else. Thats the case here. The only way is to melt it totally and create a new alloy.

I am not part of any sect but we know that ahle hadees were launched to destroy ottoman empire and barelvi sect was established to spread hatred about freedom fighters and deobandi was a freedom movement but after sometime america changed thier direction and used them as a weapon against Soviet Union

Well these all ideas if approached in its true essence it has such flexibility to apply any dimensions and in any field. 2ndly I just pointed on the sects system that subcontinent scholars has made more than sunnah nd quran
I think, there is a way to achieve peace in the world... if, we could get all the mullahs from the world and add them to a committee and keep sending them bizarre questions to issue fatwas on... like can mickey mouse marry olive oyl from popeye's or should teletubbies grow beardd and wear hats, etc. and when each of them had expressed their opinions and issued their fatwas... you get it printed and show it to them and then take it away and throw it down the well... and repeat...
