I have a 2000-d Sacagawea dollar coin- where the edge of the coin ,was not coated, nor is there a date on the edge plus you can see the inner core of the coin of brass or Cooper or whatever it is

my wife works at bank, and she brought home one of these coins, that shows the art work on the tails side of the one that you said was 2010 versions. It has no date, and there is some writing on the sides, but I can't read it. The artwork on the back is the bundle of arrows with the ribbon thing. The big kicker... It's not gold in color like all the rest I have seen. It is Silver like a Silver dollar or quarter. .....???? Is this some kind of error, or is this new? Any help would be much appreciated.

I happen to have a 2010 Sacagawea Dollar that is missing all the edge lettering. No stars, no e pluribus unum, mint mark or date. I had taken to the president of the coin club for Maryland (prior president) and he verified that its authentic but at the time could not really give me a value as there hasn’t been many that have been found and certified as an error. Wondering what value I should put on this coin?

While edge lettering was kind of cool, and actually useful for the Presidential Dollars, I find it silly to move the date from the obverse to the edge for the Native American Dollar series.
What one no date would be worth the most and be the one and only ? How does a recall affect the value if it's not sapose to be used a recall should void the ability to be counted as coin.

I just got my first Sacagawea Gold coin. It doesn't have the date. Thanks for the tip since I haven't yet looked on the edge. It's a beautiful coin. Apart from a couple of scratch marks on the obverse. the LUSTER really stands out. When you swivel the coin under the light, the luster is so brilliant it practically blinds you. Thanks for the description about its composition. Perhaps the copper, manganese, and brass fusion with Gold accounts for its brilliance.
