Even human Katherine is completely different from Elena, as is no humanity Elena from Katherine.. Such an underrated actress! I'm still amazed every time by the fact it's Nina playing both of them.
When you see where Katherine is coming from. You understand who she is because she had to choose herself in a time when no one could. She's a true survivor
A year ago I started watching the show and in every scene Katherine appeared I was excited and fascinated with her. Very interesting character and never got boring. How could Nina agree with the writers when they wrote such a horrible ending for Katherine.
I think if nina didn't left at season 6 .

Her whole Family mistreated her and stole her child away from her as a Human then she was betrayed by Niklaus, Elijah, Rose, And Trevor so she stopped trusting most people overall and became more manipulative and deceptive and sadistic because of all the betrayal and tragedy in her Human life
More like Elena first half of the show and then the second bc she was the one that Salvatore brothers couldn't live without... And Katherine was transformed by Klaus indirectly and Rose directly,so... Klaus made whatever he wanted from her???

eventually not loving Stefan. If the love isn’t there it isn’t. You can’t force it. It’s better off she is is honest with him rather than being in a relationship with Stefan and him thinking she loves him when she doesn’t. Damon and Elena deserved each other. Stefan deserved someone else. Who could give him the love that he deserved. Elena just wasn’t the person to give him that love. :) and it’s the same thing with Stefan. Stefan broke Katherine’s heart. She deserved someone who truly loves her.

She's so misunderstood, I don't support some bad things she did but I understand her. I understand everything she did I kinda feel like I feel her. Love her so much she deserved someone who loves her, who would show her how life can be. That one was Stefan, in season 5 when she wouldn't died they would have end together. That's why she did the thing with elenas body, not because she wanted to live because she didn't. She tried to kill herself and Stefan saved her. That gave her hope that's why she did it

It really is sad cause I love her character she's a total badass and a queen and she wasn't a bad person but overtime people broke her and she had to fight to survive but nobody understood that and nobody ever tried to understand that factor they just called her a villain and left it at that
Exactly, I remember when I watched Tvd two years ago, and every time she appeared in the screen I was so excited. Even in season 1 and 2 she was so mysterious and badass. Everything about her was amazing…And then that stupid writer Julie Plec got the power and destroyed everything. I mean, hey, just imagine what she did… She took from Katherine the only thing that made her character shine: her vampirism! It was so sad for me watching her helplessly wandering from one corner to another and waiting for the others to help her

Katerina... The ending should have been different and revealed that Katerina knew Stefan was dying and hell bound (Stefan knew the massacres that would happen with his deal with Cade), that Stefan could only be saved from hell if he sacrificed himself.
