- Every Spring I look forward to seeing warblers, small, Often times colorful, quite vocal, insectivorous birds in the family Parulidae. These little spring birds leave their warm wintering grounds south of the border in Central and South America and migrate up to the northern parts of the country for the Summer where they breed.

This was ur latest vid but pkease gelp! I found a baby chickadee today! It's tail feathers are about an inch and he has a lil baby fluff but not much.. ..i would say its about my thumb size but fatter. I fed it via syringe water first, then let sleep from exhaustion then some banana and crushed walnut pwdr w water. Tiny amount. She was not really that hungry. I gave what she wanted of it. She's sound asleep. When she wakes i have high quality dog food soaking in water with a little apricot. She will not eat on her own. She has been offered a wide variety of nuts and seeds with or without being stuck to peanut butter. And will not have interest. Pkease help. What do i do next
😂🤣😂🤣
I am ROTF laughing, your interpretation of the songs they make .."woodoo woodoo waadaa"...is an other "birdie" song in itself..!!

Lesley’s calming velvety voice.👏👍😊
I just love little birds!
My mother was on the phone and a hawk seized one of them right in front of her.
She's not much for profanity but that moment deserved it.
You are truly God's chosen gifts
I saw a black and white warbler and an ovenbird for the first time this Spring. We moved to the county, so I’ve had the honor of seeing a lot of birds I’ve never seen before! Im just loving it! ❤️

Should be shown to the new birders out there, VERY informative for them
Yes, great info here and very entertaining too.
Yes, I'm new to birding and loved all of the information, thank you!
One may not always see them however they can certainly be heard. I can just sit and listen to their songs over and over again. And then when one starts answering the other it can be a complete chorus.
Yay bird nerds! Birding by 👂 ear is a key part of birding.
I had no idea that warblers lived so long! That makes me so happy 😊

elders omgosh. You're so lucky to have them. 🐦 no new shirts yet, just the two I put out a few weeks ago. Probably near the end of summer I'll have something new fingers crossed. 🙂

Thank you again Lesley. As I have said before, I have low vision, and I see the birds better, through your videos. I also enjoy your commentary/information.

I really enjoy that you have a name for ever sounds the birds make! That is so beautiful. It sticks to ones head for ever! Thank you for another fantastic video!
Reaching the age of 12 seems like it would be quite an accomplishment for warblers
Thank you. Always enjoyable.
Wonderful video! I appreciate that you identify the different warblers with their song. 😊😊😊
Agree with you Dave. It is great to have the names of the birds and their songs - it makes it easier to identify them. Lesley is a great speaker and fantastic photographer.
Aww thank you both 🐦🙂

Their ages are interesting.
Warblers add to the magnificent cacophony of music in my neck of the woods of northeastern California.
I have to say that the Magnolia has outstanding plumage. Almost comical.
Very nice, Lesley.
Lesley, you are a Lovely Person Thank you for printing this to us to us all!
i love ovenbirds the way they walk around 🥰
TO THINK THAT IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE OUR PLANET IS THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE SUCH CREATURES IS REALLY INCREDIBLE ...HOPE THE NEXT GENERATIONS WILL VALUE AND PRESERVE FORESTS...🐦🦜🤞🙏
Thank You Lesley., Returning Warlbers are my sure sign of spring :)
Very good channel. You know your stuff. Thank you for your knowledge. I love it.
Thank you. I can't take credit though, I research everything I do. It's the work of the researchers that allows me to understand the birds better :) Glad you enjoyed the video
I know nothing about warblers as I don't have them in my area.
This is a great video to learn about them. Thanks Lesley 👍
Stephanie
Awesome! :) So glad you learned a bit about these remarkable little birds
I saw my very first Yellow Warbler yesterday around my neighborhood. Their sights are so pretty!
Thanks ! We enjoyed your birds so much we set up feeders and water right outside our window ... it's a wonderful show everyday .
Thank you for your informative videos, these beautiful birds are so pleasant and relaxing to hear. Congratulations to you.👍❣️😊
i just saw my first Common Yellowthroat yesterday. It is so pretty, with the beautiful apricot colored throat and belly. Thank you for the video!
Love the black and yellow ones. Very striking 😀
All was interesting especially the two kinds of yellow rumps
I've totally heard these birds, but I've never seen them! Thank you for showing me what I was hearing.
I really liked the warbler that walks!
Saw my first Cape May Warbler this fall as they were migrating though Virginia. Beautiful birds! Great video. Thank you!
I liked all of them
What a terrific channel you produce. Entertaining and educational. All done with a wonderfully calming voice. I photographed my first Cape May Warbler today. It was not very shy. Allowed me to get rather close. So happy!
Thanks for sharing your videos and adding comments to them. So interesting!
I was so lucky to have a Yellow Throat in my yard. He was bathing. I didn’t realize what he was until finished bathing. And he was sitting on the side of the bird bath. I’m in Maryland. What a treat.
Aww how cool. They are so eye catching and adorable
Yes, the yellow rumped warbler players are one of my favorites! We have them here in Oregon
More often heard rather than seen, Lesley TBN can be identified by her calm and inviting song. She is most often found strolling in the mature woodlands of Eastern Canada. Easily identified by her striking features and attractive coloring, each sighting is a treat for the avid birder.
I enjoyed learning of them all. Thank you!
On our property, we have these: Common Yellowthroat, Yellow Warbler, Redstart, Pine Warbler, Ovenbird, and the Prairie Warbler. Our property is bordered by a Wildlife Conservation Area.
Perfect location!
That's so cool
Lucky!
Axess2084 nice!!
Prairie Warblers make a very haunting calls.
Congrats on 100,000 Lesley. Doing a great job. Thank you
I also really like the blackburnian warbler and the American redstart.

The first three, I see fairly regularly in the Dominican Republic when North America is having its winter.
Incredible audio song signals for the warblers! Great video photography!
Thank you again for a great video! Finally saw a yellow rumped warbler a few weeks ago up in the mountains here in Colorado.
As always, hope you are well, and hugs from Colorado!
That is awesome, Tom. Glad you saw one, they are so sweet and cute. I'm doing good and I hope you are too. Hugs🐦🙂
I don't think I've seen any warblers but a few years ago I saw one deceased on the step of my building. A beautiful yellow warbler. I live in Philadelphia a large city. Loved the video.
very well done
😊
Haven't seen many warblers here in Minnesota, but, then again, I haven't really looked. With this information, I'll know what to look for!!! Thanks again :)
Fascinating stuff. Who knew? I really enjoyed it and I shared it with a bird-loving friend. Thank you!
Coming home after my nightshift I heard a bird singing like a warbler. It was amazing. I will look up to see if they live in Amsterdam NL. Thanks for the beautiful film Lesley. Very handsome birds 😀
Aww you're so welcome. Thank you for the nice comment. :) Take care I'm not sure how helpful this will be to you but check out this site. They have a list of birds in the Netherlands. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_birds_of_the_Netherlands
@@LesleytheBirdNerd - great link - thanks. I'm going to check it out today. I'm taking some peanuts in shells to throw from my bike to the many crows I pass on my way to work. The other day a beautiful big crow was walking in the grass and I threw the nut and he leapt into the air in fright and identified the nut in middair and redirected his flight and came down with the nut and picked it up and flew off. So elegant and smart those birds. I always like seeing Hoppy :)
30 years ago my birding revelation was warblers. I had heard about them but never saw one. Then one day in mid-spring I was laying outside in my fathers heavily wooded back yard, and noticed several small birds flitting around near the tops of 40-50 foot tall oak trees. I grabbed my binoculars and saw several different warblers. I was hooked on birding from that moment on.
That is awesome!
Love the video! More like these would be greatly appreciated!
Great videos, I live in Rhode Island, USA. I have 2 bird feeders in my back yard.
Fun, beautiful & informative. Ty! Here In Wisconsin, we have yellow rumped warblers eating the woodpecker suet during spring. 😊
Greetings from San Diego, California! 🙂 Yellow-Rumped Warblers live around my home and they are one of the birds that got me into birding in the first place. Since they are insectivores they don't visit my feeders, but they do come for a fresh drink of water! They're adorable. ❤️
Lesley, I have been avidly following your page for over two years now, and am so thrilled to see how much your channel has grown. You deserve it! 😁
Aww that is so sweet. I really need to get a bird bath so I can attract them to my yard too. I'd love to watch them enjoying a bath. Thanks so much for the nice comment on how far I've come. Take care!
Lesley, you are my favorite! Your videos are so great.
I am working on learning my warblers and this video is very helpful. Thank you!
Great video. Thanks. We enjoy the warblers every year starting in July and August and saying our sad goodbyes to them at the end of April or the first week of May.
Thank you. I know how you feel I'll be saying my sad goodbyes when they leave again between late August to September.
I love this video, thank you so much ...Awwwwww the Common Yellowthoat ❤️
I'm very glad that you enjoyed. :)
I really did enjoy this video I live in Iowa so I’m sure none of these birds are here maybe Easterern Iowa I am so glad I found your channel
Hard to spot but sure love hearing the songs.
nice work
A really informative video Lesley. So lovely to see the little guys and thank you for showing the names and songs of each species. You certainly shine a bright light in these dark times. Thank you so very much. Be well and stay safe. Look forward to the next video.
Thank you, Lesley. I have never seen the Ovenbird living in the bush near my property, but I hear him calling every once in a while. Now, thanks to you, I finally know who he is and I’ll try to look for him next time I walk in the bush.
Love this video! Sooo helpful with identifying and facts. Thank you!
Hi Lesley, I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I love your videos! I'm also new to appreciating birds, and now have begun to be able to pick out particular birds from their songs and calls wherever I am. Loved the song of the Oven Bird, I know I've heard that song!
Very, very nice! I often wish I had your job. Haha. Bird on!
Great footage and great information. I love warblers! Hope your week is going well Lesley!
HI Lesley. I just got my 2 Mats for Life shirts two days ago! i also ordered a woman's cut one that will be coming soon. the quality of the artwork is amazing and the premium tee is super soft!!!!!! also bonfire was very helpful with the questions i had. i highly recommend supporting the channel this way as it truly is a win-win. i just love my blue jays.
i live in a suburban neighborhood and i have a platform feeder. all winter and spring i have been feeding the neighborhood birds, including blue jays, doves, nuthatches, chickadees, a cardinal pair, catbirds, house finches, and i even got an oriole feeder and had some show up. and i saw a house wren once. Then I saw a starling and now there are a LOT of starlings that can eat all the contents of the bird feeder before noon when it was filled up the night before. i can't afford to feed them like this. they are out of control. and now i see VERY few of the other birds. it really sucks. I'm sure you are very busy, Lesley, but I am wondering if you or anybody else has dealt with this and found a way to get rid of them that really works. i miss my song birds. i hardly see them consistently at this time :(
