- Today we went to WORK on the new G35 blown engine. We had to remove it so that we can prepare the engine bay for paint and the new engine! Stay tuned because some SICK stuff is coming soon!

For future reference, if you ever pull a motor out a G35, remove the engine harness from the from the ecu , and the starter/alternator from the battery terminal. It prevents you from removing all the sensors from the block and makes it easier to reinstall

I have a 2008 Infiniti G35X I just had a motor installed in it it seems like too much for me to handle myself.I just got done watching the video where you started the engine for the first time and that was some cool shit you've come a long way. i had to pull my g37x engine out when i was 15, its easier to remove with transmission still attached ! no need to remove subframe, just remove alternator / starter battery terminal, amd remove ecu wires leading into under passenger seat, no big deal.

Dude! You're like a town over from my backyard...LOL. I'll need to pull my motor soon for TT I have here. I'm just holding off as the motor is super healthy right now and hate to just yank it for no reason. The bottle is keeping me busy for now until I decide to pull the trigger on the install. Do you remove the big sub frame cross brace, to remove the cross member under engine?
What did you wrap the chains around and to on the engine? Couldn’t really see that to well?

Would you say it’s easier to take the transmission and engine out at once or possible to take the engine apart from the tranny and pull the motor out by itself?

just FYI, the A/C lines need to be removed with a line disconnect tool from auto parts store. those little white rings are what comes on the factory lines to retain the spring, after you push them on the line, the clips pop out and chill on their. just clarifying for anyone wondering.
From a scale of 1-10, how hard is it really to remove a motor from our G’s? Mines auto I don’t know if that makes a difference?
What are your methods for keeping track of bolts, I feel like I could take it apart but would be stuck putting it back.

I don't know if it's me it looks like you live in FL everything looks pretty familiar I live in Daytona I just purchase a fully modded G with a bent valve for really cheap I picked up the motor at JDM Depot looking for someone to install it that knows what they're doing

Just found a g35 with no engine & transmission for only 1500 and the engine is 850 runs good so I could learn myself how to fix cars since it’s my passion working on them is a rolling shell after all the car is complete with brembo breaks and clean wheels with clean title it’s worth it for me that I could have the experience on working on my car

Nah should take like 5 if it’s your first time. It’s not that hard but don’t rush it.

Is this possible with no experience? This guy wants to trade a 2006 G35 Coupe 6spd manual for my 15 ford focus sedan. The G has 232,000 miles on the odometer. But the engine looks and sounds very good . Idk if the engine was swapped I want it because it's black on black no rips in seats and all stock! Should I trade? Says it needs clutch kit, cluster repair (gas guage)

@@AaronNewman I gained 10 hp and 20 tq the tuner said that it put more than other Gs his tuned with almost the same mods
@@hrg35coupe11 nice exhaust. did you add the cats and exhaust at the same time or at different times? If different was there a big sound/power difference when you switched to high flow cats?

On your old G35 take out the window regulator motors from your power windows, they are prone to failure on the G35/350Z and would be an easy sell
I swapped my driver door one and the passenger door regulator broke in the accident lol

Did you have to reset or swap your Ecu once you swapped it ?
Didn't have to do anything same ecu same harness same ignition same key. Only changed the motor.
@@AaronNewman my g35 coupe just had a motor swap for another DE and I lost the original key and get the key replaced but that new key doesn’t work. Then my car threw a P1610 code then I discovered I’m in lock mode. Idk how to solve it tho. ?

@@theepicgamerboss9904 Or you can ship your ECU to Z1 and they can flash tune it and remove NATS which is the nissan anti theft system
@@AaronNewman yeah man I tried calling 2 locksmiths and they weren’t able to do it when they came because they needed a pin code? And I also read abt goin through admin or uprev to flash it. I’ll prolly just take it to Infiniti or maybe Nissan?

Well under stood but if you have it on jack stands get the motor and tranny down then use your engine hoist to lift the front of the car up and then pull the engine and tranny out on top of a jack or rolling floor dolly just saying from personal experience it is way easier but there is more than one way to skin a cat lol
Plus you don't have to revoke ac lines and push bars

To rebuild a motor is about 5000 dollars minimum your better off buying a used motor with low miles it will save you thousands of dollars
