Severn Valley Railway Winter Steam Gala 2024 - 4K

- With Christmas and new years behind us I’d been looking forward to getting back to normality and get out filming again. The new SVR Winter Steam Gala offered up the chance to see two sole surviving LMS moguls in steam together. S160 2253 “Omaha” was booked to work the gala but failed so was replaced by BR standard 4mt 75069. Having a last minute change of plan (due to the river Severn flooding and loco changes) I decided to do one half of the line on Saturday and the other half on the Sunday doing a total on 29 miles of walking over the two days. Finally glad to get my feet up.

Farewell to the flying pig and taw valley
Fantastic film all round, great selection of vantage points.
Pannier pulling away from Eardington is easily one of my favourites, very pleased to have the station back and 2968 of course.
Very sad about the Pig but ultimately it went out brilliantly with its last train perfectly on time.

Thank you. Hopefully the pig isn’t out for too long but there’s locos that have been waiting their turn in the queue for a while now.
@@blackcountrysteamvideos8021 Absolutely agree, would be great to see the Pig back but there are others like 7325 and 46443 that are definitely worthy candidates also.
