Still don't understand how y'all get copyrighted when there are other channels that just let it play out with little to no editing, pausing, or reacting. Free my homies Lost In Vegas !!!
I’m still waiting for the “breaking Benjamin “ reaction. Diary of Jane, so cold, dance with the devil, I will not bow, breath, sooner or later etc... lol. You get it, they’re a really dope band.
Dude it is so fun to watch you guys get excited about music that I love and grew up with. I feel like people I know wouldn’t get my music taste and it’s so awesome to share in the dopeness of it by watching you guys react. Love what you do.
The song went hard in my book, got me feeling like I wanna hit the gym right now. It takes skill for a band to be so in sync to transition together and just how they gave limelight to each member be it vocals, guitar, drums blended very well. Now then lemmy put this into my workout playlist.
I like alternative music, it brings me back to my summer in Florida with my cousins. Hoobastank & bush (come down ) was a great song as well! Even know I'm always & forever R&B & Hip Hop I listen to all music.
People wrote them off as incubus knock offs which is unfair. They all grew up together so it wasn’t ripping off incubus at all just organic friendly influences around them
I was shocked to see a song by Hoobastank in yall's videos, great idea to do some rock songs to bring a different demographic to your audience. Keep up the good work my friends!
We're starting to stack up on the Rock vids. Check out our Avenge Sevenfold, Twenty One Pilots, Foo Fighters and Metallica vids just to name a few. Thanks for watching!
I love this song!! It reminds me of my high school years. The “reason” is also a good song of theirs. 311 “Amber”and anything the Red Hot Chili Peppers do is fire 🔥
Hoobastank was incredibly popular when they came out, but I think they got tossed in a bit with the nu-metal/hip-hop rock acts of the time (think Linkin Park) and failed to follow up with anything substantial.
Damn you're right! I always think someone else did that song. So 2 huge hits over a 3 year period and they still make albums. I'll have to listen to some and see if they deserved more success.
But that album had SO MANY great songs in mu opinion, id take a minute to listen to it even if you never do a reaction for it!!!! I'll keep an eye out if you do tho 🤩🤩
I feel like I’m coming in so late on some of your older videos. I’m just now seeing them. I loved Hoobastank through their third album, and haven’t followed them since. The first album was definitely in my rotation in high school, along with early Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Adema, Lostprophets, etc. I love seeing you guys react to all these songs, and in such an unbiased way. You appreciate the transitions, the melody, the lyrics, etc. I just watched the reaction to Nickelback and felt the same way. Good music is to be appreciated, regardless of a stigma or negative mob mentality (Still pushing for Nothing More. 😎) I know I’ve been mentioning ‘This is the Time (Ballast)’, but their entire self-titled album is fire, and it truly is an experience to give it a non-stop play through. ‘Jenny’ is intense, and ‘Mr. MTV’ is great and so relevant. Keep it up. 🙌🏼
Y'all can react/review anything by these guys - and they ain't corny either. They rock! We rock guys appreciate Hoobastank - they're practically dripping with talent. As far as what kinda rock they are: there's no one quite like them. They come from an era where rock was still unique to the individual creating it, rather than blending into a genre. What an awesome reaction, guys. Being here for this reaction is just like hearing it again for the 1st time. These guys are tight.
Hey guys, I just wanted to say that you are killing it in the Reaction world. Love your channel. This band came around at a time in alternative rock when there were a lot of cookie cutter alt-rock bands who sucked. These guys stood out for a short while, and were laughed at by a lot of people but I feel like they proved a lot of folks wrong with their unique sound. If interested, here's another song I still enjoy listening to by Hoobastank - Out of Control. All their music seems to have an energy about it that a lot of artists can't reproduce. In the same vein of alternative music, consider checking out Chevelle - Vitamin R, Jimmy Eat World - Pain and Breaking Benjamin - Simple Design. These might not be the most popular of their songs, but left the most impact on me through the years. Cheers!
Recommendations: Alternative: Beecake - Perfect time, Amber Run - I found Indie: Seafret - Oceans, Andrew Duhon - The Moorings Neo Soul: Labrynth - Jealous, La'Porsha Renae - How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore? Neo Folk: Clouds And Thornes - Home, Leaving Cardboard Houses - Adventure Rap: Killah Priest- Covenant, Blu - The Narrow Path
The game that I remember hearing this song the first time is Aggressive Inline.. man that brings me back to the days of Tony Hawk Pro Skater and shit. Thanks for the nostalgia! you guys are great, keep up the good work!
I've been listening to y'all for about a month now and have really enjoyed your reactions, keep up the good work, also I really enjoy the metal, rock, and alternate reactions that y'all have been putting out
Hoobastank haven't don't much of relevance since this album but I still enjoy this song and glad you both liked it. Guitarist here, not a hard song at all. Some effects and palm muting is all. Truly, the hardest thing to mimic in the song is probably the singing. Douglas Robb (lead singer) really has an incredible voice with great range and clarity. Just subscribed, going through the rest of the reaction now. Great content!
Colors by Crossfade would be a great addition to your channel! I enjoy the energy you guys bring with your reactions!! Also love your Logic montage, huge Logic fan! Keep up the grind.
I just love the fact that you two can get into damn near any genre of music. Absolutely love your reactions. A lot of the music you are reacting to floods me with memories. Thank you fpr sharing.
Another thing to remember is to give props to the mixing engineers, they take an incredible song and make its more deliverable and timelessly epic! Thanks gents
I think "Face to the Floor" is a better song by Chevelle. Don't get me wrong, "The Red" is good too. "Brother" by Dark New Day or the popular songs by Trapt have the same feel and sound.
Cιʂ Iɳ I know your right. I was way into incubus as a teen and young adult... Still am. Incubus discovered hoobastank. Brandon from incubus is close friends with the singer and I think they toured together.
Feel like we got the same taste in music I swear!! Please do DEFTONES- TEMPEST!! I think your like it it's got a good feel. Starts out slow! Nice vid 👍
You gentlemen like so much that I do not, but, your insights and opinions are infinitely entertaining. Love the channel, and keep up the good work, fellas.
When this song came out I worked at a movie theater that had vid screens in the lobby to show trailers for movies and music videos. For about 6 months this song was on there every 15 minutes lol! I loved it the first time I heard it and still do!
You guys really need to react to TOOL. I promise you will not be dissapointed. Try out Stinkfist or 46&2 for starters. Literally each member is a musical genius.
I have to agree.. Tool would be a great reaction for them. Especially considering how they like to delve into lyrics. 46&2 because of the Jungian theory and I'd say "Lateralus" because of the Fibonacci Sequence.
yes Lateralus is another great pick, i was trying to ease a new listener in though lol, Lateralus has a lot going on where Stinkfist and 46&2 have a stronger foundational groove. My #1 pick would probably actually the "the Grudge".
You guys seem to really enjoy 90 alternative. XM radio station that plays 90s and 2000 hits. It's called turbo. If you want to here new hard hitting alternative rock then you would like the station called Octane. One of my new favorite groups is Nothing More. Two songs off their second album are fire, "This is the time" and "Jenny". Off I'd their new album they have a new song with a hip hop style beat called "don't stop". But their second album really could just be played staright.
wasn’t this on the Fast and Furious soundtrack.? it brings me back to the time when that series started out. your review was great. enjoyed your enthusiasm and excitement for this. great respect you show for talent.
I'm not exactly a fan of hoobastank, but this song in particular gives me nostalgia, early 2000's, I was in the pre-teen/early teenage part of my life and always heard this song, hearing it takes me back to a very memorable part of my life.
Really enjoy watching yawl. It's like introducing the music you've always loved and appreciated with someone new. I think you would really like Filter-Under or just about anything from Shortbus album. Also, Chevelle-The Clincher. You ought to check out Radiohead the OK Computer album. Keep it up!!!
Love your channel, and the free thinking aspect. Never judge a book by its cover - I'm a 50 + year old white dude in the south that's got Allison Krause to Rob Zombie, Snoop Dogg to Steely Dan, Taylor Swift to James Taylor on my pandora..... I like music!
Hey guys, not sure what the metal committee views these guys but I’ve always enjoyed their sound. Being a drummer myself for 38 years, this song is not that hard to play, BUT everyone has to be on the same page to make it happen. Love the channel, keep up the good work! Oh and btw...MEYTAL guys MEYTAL!!! You won’t be disappointed! “ Nothing “ or “ Breathe “
I'm into some pretty heavy stuff... But this song is perfect all around. When I had a lung cancer scare at 31.. And was waiting on a biopsy, this song explains perfectly what I went through.

I pride myself on having a diverse taste in music, and it just so happens you fuck with the type or rock/metal AND the Rap music I’m into with very few expeceptions. And I don’t wanna sound fucked up saying this, but have no better way to word it, but I’ve never seen black gentleman such as yourselves that are so immersed in the Hip hop world that also fuck with rock and metal like this. Especially as heavy as you guys do. Shits beautiful. I wish more people from all backgrounds were this diverse
3 Days Grace - Get Out Alive or Animal I Have Become Breaking Benjamin - Diary of Jane or I Will Not Bow My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words or House of Wolves Thrice - Black Honey
I really appreciate the style you guys have taken the channel. Music should be consumed in mutiple tastes so one can truly come to appreciate and differentiate good from bad music. Since there is Good and Bad music in all genres.
Pausing and editing this video REALLY annoyed us guys but the copyright monster left us no choice lol. Hopefully you guys still f**k with it!

I like alternative music, it brings me back to my summer in Florida with my cousins. Hoobastank & bush (come down ) was a great song as well! Even know I'm always & forever R&B & Hip Hop I listen to all music.
Dani V comedown, what a great song. still have my original copy
Hoobastank were so underrated it's painful. "Out Of Control" on their next album is also a killer. No requests but you reviewed it anyway? Respect.
People wrote them off as incubus knock offs which is unfair. They all grew up together so it wasn’t ripping off incubus at all just organic friendly influences around them

Omg I used to love them in high school! The reason was my song... memories lol
Yeah it takes ya back!
I love this song!! It reminds me of my high school years. The “reason” is also a good song of theirs. 311 “Amber”and anything the Red Hot Chili Peppers do is fire 🔥
Haven't thought about this song in forever! Yet another reason why I love what you guys do.
One of my favorite bands right here !
At least someone seems to appreciate them lol. Thanks for watching!
Hoobastank was incredibly popular when they came out, but I think they got tossed in a bit with the nu-metal/hip-hop rock acts of the time (think Linkin Park) and failed to follow up with anything substantial.
Thanks for the info. I was wondering why they fall off.
They had that ballad "The Reason" (i believe from the following album) that completely blew up. But then, yeah, that was it.
I like how u guys are so disconnected from the group of zombies with group think mentalities. That's awesome to me. Keep up the good work guys✌
That's right. Thank you sir.
I feel like I’m coming in so late on some of your older videos. I’m just now seeing them.

Try Tool - The Pot. It never disappoints.
Justin McMillan yes the pot would be dope!
One of my favorites by them!
lol people have been asking for this song for almost a year. they will never do it

I listened to this song for years & didn't know who it was. This is a great tune
Another thing to remember is to give props to the mixing engineers, they take an incredible song and make its more deliverable and timelessly epic! Thanks gents
As a huge fan of late 90's/early 2000's Nu Metal/Alternative Rock, i gotta say this is the best produced/mixed track of them ALL.
Jim Wirt is a wizard
I’m just listening to your program for the first time! Love it!! Keep up the enthusiasm. Love it. Also love that 311 song
These relatively unknown songs you're reacting so are awesome. Keep it up.
How about trying Chevelle "The Red"?
Jamal Sampson yes!
I think "Face to the Floor" is a better song by Chevelle. Don't get me wrong, "The Red" is good too. "Brother" by Dark New Day or the popular songs by Trapt have the same feel and sound.
Shameful metaphors is a undeniable classic!!!
Yes
Send The Pain Below may be a better starting song for newbies to Chevelle.
Shinedown - Enemies. Yall need this in your life!
His vocals always reminded me of a lesser Incubus...
jrockzmyv382 they all learned from mike patton

This makes me so happy! Bands like this are the soundtrack of my teens/early 20s. So much nostalgia. Thank y'all. 😍
This is great!! Gonna check out this group now. Thanks man!
Really neat to see people hear the music you and your peers grew up on for the first time!
Please do some Disturbed, David has one of the most amazing voices in metal.
Expecially “The Sound of Silence”
O wa ah ah ah🤘
Guys! Always killing it with these reactions! Glad I found the channel! And this is Alternative & Post Grunge. Post Grunge took over the early 2000's.
I'm a big fan of this song. I always liked its message and power. I once joked if I ever did a TV show I'd want this song as the opening theme.
That wavy sound vocals is like brandon boyd's. Very powerful voice!
Hoobastank was very underrated. Great job on this one!!
wasn’t this on the Fast and Furious soundtrack.? it brings me back to the time when that series started out.
your review was great. enjoyed your enthusiasm and excitement for this.
great respect you show for talent.
Wasn't this in Aggressive Inline, the inline skate game ?
Yeah I think so!
Think it was Tony Hawk !
It was in Aggressive Inline
French Doge yes it was . That game was by far the best of the Tony Hawk clones.
Overall soundtrack of Aggressive Inline was awesome
I'm not exactly a fan of hoobastank, but this song in particular gives me nostalgia, early 2000's, I was in the pre-teen/early teenage part of my life and always heard this song, hearing it takes me back to a very memorable part of my life.
I have always liked them, great song choice.
Wow this brings back memories, this and Lost Prophets - Last Train Home
Really enjoy watching yawl. It's like introducing the music you've always loved and appreciated with someone new. I think you would really like Filter-Under or just about anything from Shortbus album. Also, Chevelle-The Clincher. You ought to check out Radiohead the OK Computer album. Keep it up!!!
Daaaamn this song takes me back to middle school around the time I first really started getting into rock. Dope reaction guys!
Hoobastank was always a fun band to listen to back in the day. Undervalued for sure, but catchy as hell!
React to ANY Nirvana song!! Just pick one, they're all amazing. So good! Can't believe you guys haven't reacted to them yet.
I saw them in concert and they did NOT disappoint. This song was amazing live.
I don't know if ya'll have ever heard of Jarren Benton. I suggest checking out his new track Mental Isuues. He is a former member of Funk Volume
"Whatever it is, it's fire" 😂😂😂😂
Will you guys react to Sevendust Praise , Face to Face and or Black . For a slower song would be angle son .
Wilhelm Inc. I agree! They should definitely check out Sevendust!
(Stone Temple Pilots - Sex Type Thing) -----(Alice In Chains - Man In The Box)
Yeah they are 🌽 but this is a good song. Alternative. It's your like this you should try Breaking Benjamin. They are better imo.
Breaking Benjamin has become the band everybody tries to copy.
Haven't heard this song in quite a while - nice choice! "Same Direction" is my all time favorite from these guys.
when I first heard this many many years ago it blew me away and its remained in my playlist to this day.
Man Hoobastank "out of control" was a great jam back in the day
Ayyyyy loving the vids man love from Aus

Was able to see these guys live on whim concert and this song was so freaking crazy live! Such a good show!
Hey guys, not sure what the metal committee views these guys but I’ve always enjoyed their sound. That opening guitar riff is still dope
One of my favorite songs of the last 20 years :)
So I want to say that Hoobastank had a top 10 ballad that might be worth looking at.
"It's still Rock n' Roll to me" Billy Joel said it best.
Do anything by Mastadon I recommend blood and thunder or sea beast. These songs are based on the book Moby Dick.
I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG! I STILL JAM OUT TO IT!
3 Days Grace - Get Out Alive or Animal I Have Become
Breaking Benjamin - Diary of Jane or I Will Not Bow
My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words or House of Wolves
Thrice - Black Honey
i remember the exact day i discovered this song. Grade 8 all we did to exhange music was tell eachother which songs to download on kazaa.
Love to see what you have to say about some of my favorite songs.
I really appreciate the style you guys have taken the channel. Music should be consumed in mutiple tastes so one can truly come to appreciate and differentiate good from bad music. Since there is Good and Bad music in all genres.
Yes indeed.
