Oh Steph, I was the same at your age, saying no was soooo difficult. But now I’m older it’s so liberating having the confidence to say no and mean it. And also not having to explain why. I don’t owe anyone an explanation, my word is my word. Practice responses to say when people challenge you and you’ll soon be saying no with ease.
People pleasing is so hard, but as you get older you start to feel more comfortable with saying no and being assertive, at least when it comes to buying things you don’t want just because of the shop employees.
