I hope you enjoy your trip to Korea. As a Korean myself (living in Texas), I’ve been there a lot but probably the reason why it took long to get to your hotel was because A) traffic is bad but B) the traffic law is so strict compared to the US as every road and highway in Korea has traffic cameras to prevent speeding.

Which neighborhood in Seoul did you stay in? I always stay in Jong-no (1)il-ga area near Dongmyo and I love this neighborhood because it's a famous area for those late-night outdoor tent restaurants and near the best outdoor weekend markets to buy things on the cheap! There is a huuuuuuge emart nearby where I buy all of my household items and hydrating and skin conditioning camellia flower sheet masks! You would laugh if you ever saw me at ICN on departure bound for LAX because I look like an immigrant with all my 2 checked bags and 5 carry-on bags - Korean Air Don't Care! lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
