- More than a decade of being married and with five kids today, Oyo and Kristine Sotto share their love story, Oyo's unplanned proposal and their family life.
When Oyo said "hindi naman araw araw mahal mo yung asawa mo". I finally understand why Ben&Ben choose the line "pipiliin ka sa araw araw" over "mamahalin ka sa araw araw". Maybe because love is not guaranteed everyday, the level, intensity and purity of love will never be the same everyday, but despite that fact i will still choose you. Di man kita mamahal araw araw, pipiliin naman kita through thick and thin. ~♥~
when you're in a relationship malalaman mo talaga meaning ng phrase na yun, pag galit ka minsan you have to choose to let go of that anger so you won't lose the one you love

This felt so honest, so sincere. No sugarcoating. They know each other inside and out, the good and the bad. I’m not a very religious person but when I watch things like this, it really makes me wonder what it’s like to make God the center of everything and wonder if it were something I’m also capable of doing. They just seemed so genuine. As always, Celestine knows how to make her guests comfortable and open and willing to share as much as they could. Loved this interview!

This is a great interview. I am in a very tough situation right now, we're supposed to get married in 3 months but she broke up with me because of things na mostly ako rin naman ang may fault. Nag-hit sakin yung "Love is a choice", which is true naman, but it has never been truer since narinig ko yung perspective nila about it and yung "Marriage is a union of two forgivers", very simple and yet sensible. From now on, I have decided to give an importance on having a "God-centered relationship" regardless kung ano man maging fate namin ng fiancè ko. I have made it a mission to always choose my fiance no matter what but at thr end of the day, I'll always leave it to God from now on. Thank you for this interview.

Lately naranasan ko ang naranasan mo Ms. Toni, actually yon bang lahat ng tao sa grupo tumatahol sayo- tahol ng tahol. Ikaw naman ini-ingatan mong hindi magkamali, pero sadyang hindi mo mapipigilan kung anong nakatakda sa araw para sayo, kaya iyak ako ng iyak sa harap ni Lord. It’s true, I’ve been with 3 of relationships and I just realize that Love is really a decision, hindi laging feelings and it’s a choice. Dahil feelings are not constant it does change over time, its up for the both of you how you keep the relationship intact, sustain the love that you built up from the very beginning.
When I married my husband, I asked my self multiple times if I was ready, I made my decision from my heart to have commitment with my husband, and it’s my responsibility because it was my choice. 😊

Now a days kasi courting naging purpose is to have bf/gf. But originally naman kasi nanliligaw ka ang intention is pakasalan yung girl ganyan dati noong panahon ng mga lolot lola natin. kaya nga may terms dati na "aakyat ng ligaw" kasi pupunta ka sa bahay nila at may mga hagdan pa mga bahay dati kaya literal aakayat ka ng bahay tapos makakaharap mo ang magulang ng babaeng liniligawan mo dahil gusto mong makuha ang loob nila para payagan kang pakasalan yung anak nila. Ngayon dapat maibalik yung ganyang kaugalian or mindset sa mga kabataan.

I met them both on the recent 36th Aliw Awards. Oyo was very protective of Kristine but very in a very understandable way and he’s not rude, yung tipong husband duties lg talaga. Kristine naman is very approachable. To think that she was probably the most beautiful face that night, very bombarded with people wanting to get a picture, she would still respond to you if you asked. When i asked for a picture she kindly said “Sige pero unahin ko lang to ha?” (They were having a family picture). Eventually, I never got a picture but that was an amazing moment. Mad respect talaga kasi hindi sila snob.
Nung Sunday pa ko naghihintay ng upload ng Toni Talks, iniisip ko sino kaya ang next na guest. Surprisingly, sina Kristine & Oyo pala. ☺

I like and I agree w what Oyo and Tin said that Love is not base on feelings (FnF ko yun) kase realtalk at sa totoong buhay naman talaga may times na annoying o hindi kamahal-mahal yung partner mo or even ikaw, times na unlovable ang isat-isa but we still choose that person to be in our lives everyday. Yan ang pinaexperience sakin ng Pandemya na ito talagang itetest yung love mo towards your partner at grateful ako kay Lord kase marami ako na discover sa sarili ko, sa kanya at lalo na mas kilalanin natin ang pinakasource ng lahat ang Panginoon. And yes even in a decade na pagsasama hindi mo pa din masasabi na kilala nyo na ang isat-isa. Malaking tulong din talaga kapag may friendship na namagitan sa isang pagsasama.
