- I found this outside the back of a shop the other week! Utterly trashed, very very used and with a failed PAT test! What is wrong with him and can we fix it?
This was done as a before video, however shortly after filming a numatic collector asked to buy it for me for not much less than I would have got for it after refurbishing it, so I sold it!

Wow, I can't believe someone would actually throw out a vacuum cleaner that works perfectly well just because it needed it's plug replacing. You fixed it in like 2-3 minutes and it works perfectly well again now 👌. I'll look forward to the refurbishment video and seeing this Henry restored to his former glory😊. He's got another 20 years left in him yet 👍

Victor make/market commercial vacuums, my dad has recanted a story of a load of Victor Gold uprights that were brought by the council for use in schools that they obviously got a good deal on that were absolutely crap, I think the cylinders were better, basically standard industrial/commercial units.
And yes I would guess either cable or plug damage as when testing electrical items without an both an earth connection and exposed metalwork a visual inspection is all that is required (case/body, cable and plug) it would not be required to be actually be tested on a portable appliance tester (that's certinaly how all the Henry's/Numatics get tested at work, and I should know as I do the testing :) ).

I'll bet the PCB is covered in carbon dust in that - just ready to short out and fail - that may be why it failed the PAT test. You know how bad the autosave PCB's are for failing, and all due to contamination with carbon dust from the motor's exhaust air. First thing I would do with that, is take the PCB out and give it a thorough clean, get rid of all the carbon dust build up from it, and then it might live a lot longer, as the motor sounded just fine on it.
Much prefer coloured henries to red to be honest, I don’t mind the red ones, but I prefer the coloured ones.
I’ve seen my old neighbour use a blue Henry HVR200A.
I’ve found a Henryhound at a clothing store in my town (it’s a Poundland now)
And my dad found a yellow push button HVR200-22 Henry at a job he was at.
At B&Q I found a Bertie for sale!! I nearly bought it, but I was beaten to it!! 😩

What a waste of a henry an autosave one as well I have literally dreamt of having one
Its so nutsas a friend of minewas going the same way until I looked at it cut a bad bit of cord off rewired and yes henry was alive!!!

I like green hvr200-A I love Harry's as well
I prefer all the colours than red! It's why I love RGB Henry so much, he's blue! I like the yellow ones the most, especially the old ones with yellow hat writing to match.

@@Mr_D2_1004N I have a 1996 Basil in yellow, in near enough new condition! Motor doesn’t work, I want to try my best and get an original motor for it!

I nearly got a 2006 Henry from my dad's work. Because the plug was going hot. But.. sadly it was not up for grabs.. they fixed it! And plus it was one if the styles of Henry I've been after for a very very long time! BTW. The bag is off a Victor V9. Brief question: what happened to your mums Henry?

Sorry Sam. It's the wrong colour for me. Only red will do. It looks like a harry. I hope its gone to a good home though. Poor thing. Lol.
I prefer the other colours tbh! When I was a kid I always saw coloured henrys used in shops and stuff, we had Yellow and Green Basil's at school, and Blue Henrys. Red's just boring!

Cheap fixes are the best fixes. Seems you were denied an opportunity to show an ecosave PCB coated in carbon dust.
