- How to dye hair red and have it stay red, one of the biggest problems hair colorists (in salon and at home) face. Fading red hair is the reason why most people don't go red(I think at least) bc it's such a pain and makes people sad when it turns orange on them. We pay good money and waste precious time on dyeing our hair red and don't want it fading to orange. I know the answers on how to fix this problem, so let me explain. How to dye your hair red and have it stay red is all in how you color it- the formula is everything.
In this video I start with the basics of what is in your natural hair colour, how hair color effects your hair, and what different level developers will do to your hair. I share all the things you need to take into account when you dye your hair red to have it stay red so that it won't fade to orange (essentially ruining your dye job).
When I was a colourist I had many clients who wanted red hair so it was essential to learn how to color their hair red properly so it would stay red so they wouldn't come back to me complaining! By taking what I learned in hair coloring courses and then by trial and error I applied the techniques I learned to dye hair red and have it last a long time. I have been dying my own hair red for years and it always turns out perfectly and has little to no fading, and NEVER turns orange on me.
If you are coloring your hair red at home I suggest going to a beauty supply shop and asking for help over buying box red hair dye, as you have no idea what formulas are in a box of color. A specialist at the store can help guide you and hopefully you'll get something more catered to your hair for home coloration. Don't forget the techniques I share when applying this at home.

+sara morisani hey Sara, I'm not too sure what the volume would be but probably a 20-30, it's hard to say. That's the problem with color from a box kit, they just don't let you know what's in it so it's hard to know how it will end up looking a month down the road. I'm hoping that you can help Me and My husband. I want to dye my hair grey. But I was wondering what I would need and how to do it safe. My hair is dark brown. I also had a question about the fanola shampoo can that help get pigments out so I don't bleach my hair. Help I don't know what I'm talking about but that's why My husband is doing it cuz he does understand everything you r talking about. I just know that I want grey hair and that my man is great at doing it. Just need you amazing help...!!!
