Just graduated from there last year, been in Allen all my life. To be honest, most people in Allen don't realize how good we have it here. I complained about it too, and it really wasn't until I graduated when I realized how good it was compared to other schools. There are a lot of opportunities there, such as culinary classes, video making classes, and everything. A lot of colleges are likely to accept you knowing you're from Allen, because it's very good standing academically.
What, I thought that colleges would only want to recruit students from Allen because of athletics.
I went to y’all’s stadium a month or 2 ago, y’all’s football stadium is like a college, it’s crazy

I didn't realize how good we had it. I knew the school had a lot more programs and was the best I'd been to (I moved around a lot). But, still did not process how actually pretty amazing that place is.

Allen High School is a college. There's literal "Endorsement" paths that you can take which are basically just college career paths. If you wanted to go into being a meteorologist they've got a room where you can "report" on the news for that.
There are 2 other campuses, others being the Lowery Freshmen Center, where all of the freshmen go, (obviously) but then there's the STEAM center, where classes like robotics and all of your science classes and anything to do with STEAM is.
Allen High school is honestly crazy and we don't realize how good we have it.

Seeing this and knowing that years ago I was one of the first students to attend the new Allen High School when it was built.
I'm not surprised to see they adopted a laid back approach to kids wandering around. They'd let me do it alot. I had a lot of troubles focusing and with panic attacks. As a reward or sometimes just to calm me down they'd just let me leave the room and wander around a bit. Often I'd go down to the bakery. Which was right next to the school psychologist's office. So I would also go to the bakery before or after sessions with him and group therapy. And that was right around the corner from the gift shop.
Yes, there is a bakery. Yes, there is an Allen High School gift shop. Yes, there is a school psychologist. Yes, they do group therapy and individual counseling sessions...
There was a school psychologist? AHS has changed a lot then since the bakery and Eagle Edge are like on opposite ends of the building.

Allen HS has a theater that would rival big city orchestra venues with the audio dynamics, the football stadium has multiple decks, and the campus is about 300 yards long. Look up the campus on maps, and the enrollment. It's very big.

I went to Allen HS from 97-00. Got to experience the old HS and I was the first class to graduate from the new HS. Of course it didn't look like it does today 20 years ago. It was mostly still under construction and we had to dodge construction equipment while walking to class.

Probably only stepped in there a couple times the whole year.
I graduated in 2019 and lemme tell you. It had to be that big. It's the only highschool in town. My graduating class was almost 3,000 like we go to lunch in shifts.
