Me to brother I new he existed with sex and drugs and hit me but I’m so glad I found the rest of Ian and his bands music cos there absolutely brilliant👊
Today's television is often so polished and pre-recorded you tend to forget how anarchic shows like Tiswas were. Every one alternating between looking bemused and terrified.
I can assure you we knew perfectly well who Ian was. He was a big deal at the time and popular culture wasn’t so sanitised and safe as it is now. It wasn’t unusual to see artists like Ian, Motörhead or Iron Maiden on kids shows back in the day.
Thank you for uploading I was the Robert Smith in the interviews with the question about the vinegar. I heard it on a radio station.
When Saturday mornings were fantastic!
Ian & Sally James two of my all-time favorites, (very different reasons of course)
I just got into Ian Dury's music not so long ago. I must say it's one of the best things that's ever happened to me. Ian Dury Ftw!

That was Joyful! Thanks for posting.
I still have a Blockheads badge somewhere........wish I had the watch
I can hear today's viewers on the phone to ITV or BBC complaining.... At least we could have a laugh back them... Brilliant!

2 minutes 40 seconds........I pissed myself. Ian's reaction to the kid.
Sally came to our school.....never seen so many tissues on the lads bog floor 😉
light years ahead of the dross on offer on the "other side" on Saturday mornings in those days....
The clip wouldn't be shown on childrens' TV in the nanny state.
Those vignettes of Wilko playing guitar are mint.
I used to sing this and Wake Up, when I was 9
Drury was at home here, but who wouldn't have been with Sally and Spit.
At least spell his name right mukka
I want a Blockheads watch!

I want a blockheads watch!
god I miss spit the dog.good times.
You never saw Bob's face when Spit was making noises probably because his lips moved, but I still thought he was funny.
This is why English kids are more resilient...... I agree about Spit......
Thanks Mr T.
Sally and Tiswas would interview some not so kiddy acts...like Ian lol
Lucky kids!
This is what we want.
Those kids won't know who Ian Dury is!!!!!

No stage was too small for the Wilko walk.
It might be a fuck, but think of the muck I'm leaving behind!!
What a good interview. His disability was irrelevant.
These days it would be the only thing they would talk about.
There's a late 70's Parkinson interview and that's pretty much all he asks about.
Spit the dog.. 🤣
