    Should you rent or buy a hyperbaric chamber and treat yourself at home, or should you go to a clinic that offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy?
    Which is the best for you?
    Overall my generic recommendation would be go to a clinic if you can and do at least five or ten sessions. Get a good feel for what the process is going to be like and see if you like the therapy.
    If so, then you can make a real educated decision on what the next best step for you is.
    Note: If you're requiring more than 1.3 atmospheres due to your health issues or goals, then you'll need to keep going to the clinic.
    But if your health goals allow you to utilize a soft chamber, then you can start looking into rental and purchase options and be able to treat yourself in the privacy of your own home.

    How is the right pressure determined? I have been going to a spa and have had at least 12 1 hour sessions. It's a chamber that can accommodate someone in a wheelchair. So it's pretty large. I just lay in there breathing oxygen through a canular. But I don't know what the pressure is set at. Based on what you're saying here I didn't do enough sessions. I didn't feel like I got any benefit from it. I was also using a red light bed along with HOCATT therapy. With an equal amount of sessions. It sounds like the pressure setting is big, and should be set per a person's needs. I'm a pretty active 69-year-old. I don't feel like I have enough oxygen in my legs most of the time, and recovery after working out or playing Golf is a problem. Always sore for days after.

    • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  Před rokem +1

      Yes the pressure is important, as is the number of sessions and the frequency of those sessions. Check out this video for more info on that: czcams.com/video/A9qNrXBkuKk/video.html
      If you're doing HBOT at a spa, it's likely in a soft chamber which will be 1.3 atmospheres. Higher pressures require a hard chamber.
      If you'd like a consultation to get help with a protocol that's specific to your situation, email us at support@hbotusa.com

      Sounds like you need a consultation with an MD to diagnose the problem- and then find a well qualified healthcare practitioner to provide the treatment. Not a spa.

    Does HBOT help people with soft tissue injuries which are causing back and neck pain. Also migraines. Looking for relief with all of these conditions.

    • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  Před rokem +2

      Generally speaking Hbot reduces swelling, edema and inflammation. It also stimulates fibroblasts and collagen synthesis for soft tissue healing. I strongly recommend working with someone that can help design a protocol for you to get the most out of this therapy.

    I was watching a video where someone said, "For a long time, the idea was that you had to be in a pure oxygen environment. So they would bring you up to 2 atmospheres of pressure by only pumping pure oxygen into the chamber. The new style of chamber is that since gas exchange only occurs in the lungs we use a non-rebreather oxygen mask that's about 99% efficient at delivering 100% oxygen on each breath if it's fitted properly."
    So my question is why do you need both the chamber and the mask?
    My other question is recently some HBOT manufactures are making HBOT rooms for 1, 4, 10 people. You can even have air conditioning etc installed in these. Are you familiar with these? Are they just as effective?
    Thanks

    • @keithklassen5320
      @keithklassen5320 Před 11 dny

      My understanding is that a mask alone cannot increase pressure, and pressure increase is helpful.

      Pregnancy is on the relative contraindication list. Mostly due to lack of research. Some countries approve use during pregnancy some do not. Either way used post for recovery is a definite yes

    How often do dental crowns pop off in a hyperbaric chamber at 1.75 ATM?

    • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I have never had that happen. It should not happen as long as everything is set properly The only reason I can think of is if there is a little air pocket in the there that expands as you ascend back up from pressure at the end of a session.

    • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  Před měsícem

      Generally speaking, sleep apnea is not a contraindication for HBOT. The only thing to keep in mind is that you should NOT be sleeping while the chamber is pressurizing or depressurizing. So make sure you're awake during those phases of treatment.
