- Sudani from Nigeria is a film about a strapping football player from Nigeria, who is recruited to play in a local football club in Kerala’s Malappuram district. Debutant director Zakariya Mohammed delicately weaves his magic. The film has been co-written by Muhsin Parari who also co-wrote Virus. It’s been co-produced and shot by Shyju Khalid who also gave us the stunning images of Kumbalangi Nights.

Please review Helen (Malayalam 2019)
Thank you for the Script, I downloaded it.
Please watch 'Thanmatra' Mohanlal movie. (You don't have to post a review, just watch it...) so happy that finally north Ppl are looking to malayalam movies (apart from films fraternity people, they started before, to steel good content....!!)
@Film Companion These movies are good and probably can be made anywhere in India, but if you really want to know why malayalam movies are a step ahead then please watch and review movies like "Kireedam" for acting for screen presence for story and finally for experience!!!
I don't even speak Malayalam..but man their movies! I guess people from Kerala have another level of emotional maturity and understanding over the rest of us. Loved this gem of a movie... basically end up loving 9/10 Malayalam movies I watch.
Watch more Malayalam movies
Bas kar... rulayega kya....😊
Thumbs up from a keralite👍🏼

Oh my god, I broke into tears... What a scene that was... My favorite scene...
I cried
She didn't mention that.. Shoo shaad
I cried man......
Realism that's what Malayalam cinema has and Bollywood lacks!
Maybe it has a bit too much of. Dont get me wrong, I am a Malayalee but slice of life movies are a dime a dozen these days.

💓 Malappuram.
The technical term is 'kali piraanth'
Not only in Malappuram- in Malabar
i am also from malappuramm....
Malappuram- areekode 😊
Yes.. These people are not "too good to be true". In Malappuram, people are genuinely caring and affectionate and am not from Malappuram
Really the people of Malappuram have gem of a heart. Half of my friends are from there, they care about you like none others can do.
😍😍😍😍
Only Malayalam film industry can think of this kind of theme, what a heart warming movie this is....last 7-8 minutes of the movie I was thoroughly in tears, and that airport scene OMG...couldn't be any better goodbye scene written for this particular film...just perfect👏👍🙏
Its a really great gesture from Film Companion to take up these movies to a popular platform. Thanks for doing it
Thanks for watching!
I totally agree. Ms Chopra is singlehandedly knitting the country together like Doordarshan once did. Thank you Ms Chopra.
Love for malayalam from Tamil Nadu❤️❤️❤️

Well Said
Why films like these are are ignored and commercial cinemas of Bollywood are sent for Oscar's..
Bcz director is muslim
Dinesh Daddala it’s because most Malayalam movies aren’t heard of outside Kerala. They don’t have big money to throw around for marketing the movie unlike its brother sister states like Telegu, Tamil and Kannada. So naturally they are not getting to the theaters in bigger cities or don’t have much theater screens to be played in since they have to compete with other regional movies as well as the Hindi movies that get more preference. This combined with absolutely no marketing whatsoever to promote the movie, folks outside of Kerala wont even know about them unless they get to watch it in prime or Netflix...Kerala also have the lowest population of people unlike the surrounding states, so not a lot of word of mouth to help promote any movies either outside Kerala. Just my thoughts.
mufeed rahman don’t be an immature dumb person... and bring religion into stuff...
@@manukrishna2845 bro gully boy is also directed by Muslim and nominated for Oscar's
@@annagutirez5973 great insights bro..when it comes to national Awards..Malayalam movies gets its due respect..like wise the same committee should wisely decide and nominate these gems.

The love affair with malayalam continues and we're loving the exposure 💕. Maybe sometime you could also include some classics like thoovanathumbikal or mattoraal
by the way the team refused to accept the national award this year as it was conducted when nation was in chaos!
I can't believe this.. Anupama has included two of my favourite films (including this one!) in the 50 films!

These are the kind of films we need. Kindness should become mainstream. It's a beauty that such emotion can translate so fluidly beyond the barriers of language. As a non Malayalam speaker I believe my experience of the film was much heightened. (Writing with hazy eyes)
yes not many people will understand how powerfull that jersey swapping scene in climax is..

Malayalam Film Industry is always baap in terms of Quality of Film Making. Sudani is a gem of Mollywood ❤
Thank God I watched this gem post your recommendation. It has been a long time since I was so moved by the characters, their stories and ofcourse the film as a whole.
Sending lots of good wishes for the people behind this film.
🙏 From Assam.
(Malayalam cinegoers and cinemakers play on a different level field altogether, no wonder an Assamese film called Aamis from such a distance, was the talk of the town in Kerala recently. They breathe differently and thank God they do.🔥🔥🔥)
One of the best movie warched.. especially climax scenes... there is no language needed for emotions..

I really wondering about the magic that happens in this film...
More love to sudani from Nigeria ❣️
Great to see that the golden era of Malayalam movies from the 80s and early 90s didn’t get lost forever and the new generation of actors like Fahadh, Nivin, Soubin, Dulqur etc are bringing it back to the greatness that it deserves. It will be good if Film Companion revisited the old classics like Kireedam, Bharatham and pretty much every Mohanlal movie from that era, most of which were remade disastrously in other languages.
Lets promote compassion... 😍😍
Sooo many Malayalam films in her list...just luv it♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Thank you Mam for giving mallu films a bigger platform that I always believed it deserved.... It's sorta becoming like the exotic Korean movies for a whole lot of people and you are a big reason.... Thanks for the love....

It isn’t too good to be true. All these people still do live in malappuram. This can be testified from the fact that a lot of people hailing from other places doing government jobs in schools end up settling in malappuram falling in love with the sort of compassionate people portrayed in the movie.
