I really liked this video, in part because you talked about the cancelling lady in retrospect. It was interesting to hear that video talked about in an environment other then the gender war in its comments section. I happen to agree with the sentiment you summarized at 10:29, in part because you summarized it well. That's what half the people on that video feel, and I would post my concurring opinion on that video, but it would instantly become just another duplicate, lost in the crowd. But here, it's kind of disconnected to hear about it discussed in calm, civil tones, but still comprised of the same reasoning. I really enjoy political debate, and participating in it, but it's an entirely different experience when people are actually willing to listen. Just goes to show what debate has come to in this world. It's rarely "you have your view and I have mine" anymore; rather, it's "I'm right and you're wrong." I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's nice to hear the rarer type for once. I wish I could hear more of it.
anonymity makes it harder for people to realize they're talking to another human it seems. it's easier and more rewarding to just spew hatred instead of actually discussing something. thanks for the perspective.
Even in person, people spew hatred. How often do you see people getting yelled or cursed at in public simply because they have a different opinion? People refuse to even hear anyone else's view; if they disagree, they're objectively wrong. Almost nobody these days seeks out opinions different from theirs or actually listens. I believe I do a pretty good job of hearing people out and being able to either understand where they're coming from or politely disagree, but I rarely see this in other people. They would rather just turn it into a battlefield, where everything is right or wrong, with me or against me. People would rather pick sides than find any smidgen of common ground.
Your videos are really enjoyable, for same same reason you kept explaining your passengers that your content comes naturally, like people is naturally funny given the right circumstances, I hope all goes well, keep up the good work Ryan. Tnx for your videos.
