- Meeden reached out and asked me to try out some of their products and so in this video I'm trying out their 4 sets of Fluid Acrylic paints.
Regarding the silver metallic acrylic leaking issue they assure me "while it's rare, if customers receive faulty products, we promptly replace them for free upon receiving feedback"
Regarding the streaking and thinness of the paints I mentioned in this videa, Meeden informed me that most of their paints are positioned as student-grade. Their fluid acrylics are thinned acrylics and may appear somewhat transparent. They're typically suitable for fluid art and layering on other surfaces.
Additionally they also offer regular heavy-body acrylics⬇⬇

Aren’t fluid paints supposed to be thin? Are they supposed to be used for paint pouring or something? I could be wrong.
From what others have been saying I think you're right. But on Meeden's site it also shows them being used for regular painting and so I believed they would've been okay for a video like this. I think the problem I had with them is that they are still supposed to hold a lot of pigment even if they're thinner paints.
I'm in love with the shark. And the raccoon. And the goose. And the goose's signature 🥰 I've been painting a lot of geese lately, but I haven't done a Canada goose yet. Such a fun spread!
Thank you so much!❤ Geese are so fun to draw 👌
the pastels were probably the most opaque because of the white mixed in. I love the way you've used these paints, they almost look like gouache 🥰
Yeah that's what I'm thinking too 👌😊
I think these paints would be better for a different application than sketchbook work, like school projects or 3d crafts like birdhouses or cardboard cat homes. The price point would be great for those things because you could use a lot of paint without worry. Your drawings are freaking adorbs as always ✨️
beautiful work as always :D i totally get why you were mixed on these. I think they make a good starter set for anyone new to acrylics but personally for me the streakiness would drive me crazy haha. You did a great job with them! The galaxy beetle is a favorite.
Thank you! Yeah the streakiness drove me a little mad 😅
Wow amazing art as always also thank you for putting my idea of duck painting its look adorable 🤩🥰🌸🍀
It is
Thank you for the suggestion!! It was such a cute idea ❤
I’d love to see a video on how you mix your paints or a video on your color palette ❤
That rat is so cute! I love it 😊
Bahahhahah I love you trying to stay as positive as possible in the video. My guess for the pastels being more consistent is cause you can use Spanish white to give it more body without worrying about lightening the color too much (Do not know if that is the correct translation for the pigment). But just by seeing them I would not reccomend it because while you get a lot of colors, a lot of those you are either not gonna use or you could mix them yourself, and for 33 bucks you could buy 8 colors of an acrilic range with higher quality and get and extra large white and get started with the basics, also you will likely be less frustrated about the streakeness and the transparency.
Second sidenote you mentioned all metallic paints being horrible and I have to mostly agreee with you, I have found one that works AMAZINGLY, super thick and metallic but its a proffesional grade paint because I think is one of those colors that you can only get good results by paying for it, I paint a lot of props so to me it was worth it. (The paint is Vallejo Artsit Color Extra Fine Quality acrilic, I use Antique Gold and Antique Silver)
Absolutely! Perfectly put ❤❤ and thank you, I'll be sure to check out them out when I wanna try out some metallics 😁
I've also seen in some videos that Golden heavy body acrylic paints supposedly have very good metallics but haven't tried the myself yet
@@VisualMindgolden does have good metallics, i love their paints! there’s also a brand called utrecht that has pretty decent metallics
I'm from across the pond in the US, and I've had a metal watercolor palette from Meeden that's served me well for years. And I've seen their watercolors coming over over time. I'm glad to see they're expanding their products, I just hope they continue to work on their formula a bit more. Acrylics can be a fickle thing to paint with on their own as is. I think your paintings are cute, even with the challenges from the paint.
The goose painting was EVERYTHING I love it!!! I will def be trying the pastels out - I loved the way you mixed and matched the suggestions for making a spread!! keep creating, I love your content!!
“opaque” i think is the word youre looking for! i love your art so much!!
I absolutely love the lil rat ✨️👑🐁 what a fancy boi 💖
The paints themselves could be a good choice for beginners to get use to painting and different techniques if they are that cheap 😊
ooh, beautiful work! thanks for using my idea (the funky boots)!!🫶🏻
Thank you for suggesting them ❤❤
omg first ur my favorite youtuber i bought the arrtx markers because of youuu
Such a fun spread!
to me? they seem super worth it. A great paint for beginners
The way you draw is super satisfying to watch and your color choices are so yummy!
omg the rat is so cute!!!😭😭
You're not a true artist until you've had an obsession with clowns, cowboys, and cowboy clowns. I love your cowboy clown sm 😫 they're always so cute! ❤
The goose is ADORABLE
( the artist, I’m bad at birds. )
i love the little rattie and racoon, rats are my favourite, I have them as pets :)
okay maybe random comment, but I love your handwriting its so cute!
😂 Thank you 😁
Yay new vid
i always find your videos super inspiring even if your art is completely different from mine lol thanks for all you do!! also i love how the rat and raccoon came out😊
HONEY WAKE UP STATICWOOL POSTED

Shake the paint
It helps to stir it up
i think part of the problem might be that fluid acrylics are intended for fluid art!! like when people do those paint pour videos!!
Oh! I guess that makes sense! Is that all they can be used for?
I was wondering that too! I’ve only heard of fluid acrylic as for acrylic pours. But I don’t know that much about it. I wonder why they would send them to this artist though if she doesn’t typically do acrylic pours?
@@staticwoolI think you still managed to make some beautiful pieces despite working with what seemed to be a difficult medium. Well done! Thank you for sharing your art!
IM NOT LATEE
I have a question to ask if you don’t mind answering ? Do you have a video explaining what you use in your sketchbooks and other stuff. If not I would love and enjoy to see a video explaining what you use in your art. Thank you 😅😊
I share some of this in my Sketchbook tours but I won't lie I'm not great at remembering to do this for each page (I miss a lot)😅 I'll try to remember to do this for my next tour 👌
For specific applications
How do you make all of them look like stickers? I want all of these as a pack😠
was 4am when you posted, for me😭
Time zones noooo ❤
Hey can you make a video about how to use acrylic marker
I love your art ❤
I have 2 Arrtx videos that show how I use them 😊
They are FLUID acrylics
