Alot of those 188k subscribers, like myself, came over from streetspeed717. You and him went your separate ways, and so did alot of those people. Also back then alot of your videos were about actual mechanical things, mostly LS camaros and that sort of thing. You've drifted from that into "fucking around" and then disappeared for a long period of time. Then came back and played out the while my kid's shitbox theme. Then stopped making videos all together for a little while. You haven't even made a video in over a month, and now you're here scratching your head in wonderment about why you're not making any money off of youtube. You have to go back and see what videos attracted views and do more of that, and also you have to put out that type of content on a regular basis, then you'll make money. I've watched almost all of your videos all the way since the beginning, and your content is alot different now than it was back in the day. You're at a point now where you need to reestablish yourself and put out the type of content you're known for, then maybe more people will want to watch your stuff.

I myself came from Streetspeeds channel.personally I like to see car builds and racing videos with some of those cars. A variety of some drag/track race content. I think that’s sort of what people thought they were gonna get. You’re a cool funny guy so that’s why I stick around.

I came across this video in my chronological subscription feed. When I first subbed to your channel I was only following around 50 channels and now I’m subbed to nearly 200. Sometimes videos get buried way down the line and are unintentionally overlooked.I’ve had to turn off most notifications because it got to be a bit overwhelming. So much competition and new channels now, a totally different landscape than even a few years ago.
I miss the videos of you working on cars and tuning on the dyno.
I think a lot of CZcams shorts are taking over to match tik Tok I feel like
I feel likr it is too. One of the channels ive been watching for years has over 1m subs and doesnt get over 100k views on anything except shorts

It's probably the content consistency and just a general shift in what the viewers want to see. I stopped watching 717 a while ago because the content just became about grabbing cash with "giveaways". The last video I saw of his was jumping the TRX and the legal fallout. Him and Shane seemed to have fairly focused content. I don't know why I stopped watching your channel, probably just got bored of it. Sponsor spots should never be the main focus of a video.
Look at some of the other cartubers that are killing it - it's consistency and progression/growth of the channel's content. The same applies for WhistlinDiesel. People want to see things grow and, in some cases, get crazier. That doesn't mean you have to roll a G-wagon down a hill but growth and advancement are important. Going from wrenching on a benz in a 2 car garage to rebuilding the only flooded P1 is a great example of this.
Every viewer is different too. I like to learn from what I watch while I am entertained... even if it's generally useless information for me in real life. Ironically I would probably watch more 717 content if it were less vloggy and more educational about what he does. Watching someone tune a car and then also explain the process in an organized manner? That's pretty cool to me. I cannot say I have looked for a video but I also haven't stumbled over one.
CZcams is a great place for entertainment and learning. Many channels offer a behind-the-scenes look into the thought process of various types of professionals. For my type of viewership, that is what grabs me. Check out a channel like LNC Collision. Not a super fast growth channel but it's consistent. He vocalizes his thoughts, what he's seeing, and what he's doing.
You have passed the hard part of making the content, just polish up. Can't make a CZcams channel without videos :)
2 videos per week and some shorts. Keep in mind the the shorts can be the opening to your 2 videos per week. This is the key to recent algorithms.

Im having same issues brotha it's hard to stay motivated with no views I have a small channel but it went for a few thousand views to hundreds started about June or July I feel hope it gets better stay motivated been a subscriber for a long time and I've rarely seen a notification for your channel
I'm dealing with the same issues brother. But i'm trying some different things hoping they work.

I hate to say it but I feel like TikTok and all similar platforms are taking over. People’s attention spans are only getting shorter and unfortunately these short attention grabbing clips captivate people in a way that produces short bursts of dopamine almost hooking people into these styles of videos and clips for hours like a drug. I catch myself slipping into that trap and definitely have to stop myself. CZcams seems boring after being on TikTok sometimes and I find myself needing to take a break from tiktok just to be entertained by regular down to earth videos like yours.
Now a days you have whistlin diesel setting Ferraris on fire for fun. There’s literally the highest level most insane entertainment regarding automotive videos that again captivate peoples attention over videos like yours. I love your videos and I hope the algorithm swings back into your favor.

To be honest I had my bell notification on and it's been like 2 months that I haven't received a notification from your channel and just notice that it was off and I never turn it off
One stupid thing that works with CZcams algorithm just someone revving a car or motorcycle with an interesting title as a short it's kind of that easy and it's so very stupid.

I'm a small youtuber myself and I feel this as well because youtube's system be tripping out and I rarely did upload videos to this platform and its like my views tanked a ton.
Even a lot of channels I am subbed to their notifs hardly show up as of late its like notifs have taken a nose dive hard.

It's not only the algorithm that's slowly changing but the bell itself has changed you have to make sure when you hit the bell you have it say all because since it changed from being just a bell that gave all notifications back when it came it out it now has levels and if you already had the bell ticked make sure to check and see if it is set to all and not personalized

I haven't had notifications from Andy's channel in years. I usually go through my channels though and see what's going on.
I've been subscribed for so many years yet haven't gotten a notice in a long time. So much so that I almost forgot your channel existed until today. CZcams is most definitely deprioritizing content for some reason.

To be honest I think I only get notified of a couple out of the dozens I have subscribed to I have to search them to and I put all for notifications on everyone so I don't miss a video but I feel ya Andy it sux

I have been watching you for a pretty long time since I believe around 2015 or 2016 and have watched every single one of your videos and I do indeed receive your notifications. As for speaking of personal experience that may relate to your situation, my channel isn't doing well like it used to either. I used to get thousands of views even into the hundreds of thousands on several videos. Views have dropped and people are unsubbing in which I'm not worried about at all since the purpose of my channel was to create both gaming videos and some car content only just for fun. I can't even imagine your situation in terms of a monetary standpoint and can definitely understand and completely see why this is a frustrating matter. This may be due to a combination of TikTok culture changing everything regarding the shorts and stuff, a shift and change of viewer interest, or that this platform itself has simply hit rock bottom.

Sometimes devices can lose their sync. I've had it where I wasn't getting my Gmail notifications on one of my accounts even though everything was set properly. Ended up removing syncing on the device and set the sync back on, I was flooded with notifications and it's been good since. Just something that may help others if they're experiencing something similar.
I miss a ton of notifications. I think it might be because I have to many channels I subscribe to.
Often times I have to search for them. Mostly short videos from the channels I subscribe to come up. I prefer longer videos. I've noticed channels I subscribe to upload a few short videos seem to pop up more often and I'm like hey where ya been and I'll see a longer video they uploaded then I'm binge watching 😊

Same here there are a lot of channels I am subscribed to that I do not get notifications, I do get notifications for this channel, if I do not put out at least 2 video's a week and short video's my views go right down, I am a small channel and make about $60.00 a month.

I did see this one, but the past never...they're shadow banning many other channels so views are way down...they expect you to work for nothing...also asking uploaders to pay them to put videos in the top of the algorithm ...sorry dude.

I noticed this with other channels I watch. They have a lot of subscribers but some of the notifications I don't get. I just keep going to their channel and seeing if they uploaded a new video. Then other times I get notification on video's I already watched. Very strange.

I completely understand your frustrations, but again what are WE as human beings doing CZcams for or anything concerning Social Media?
Revenue, a hobby, or a bit of both?
I can also see how it can definitely be discouraging to put alot of time and effort into producing content, but see little to nothing in return monetarily, but that's like anything we do really.
I can spend hours on end writing my wife a beautiful card...and never expect anything back...except the feeling of producing it and seeing her reaction to it.
If one really wants to make good money at it; well then one would have to devote a lot of time to it as with any paid service and/or product, if you will.
In either case, if it makes you feel any better, I certainly gained something out of your video and I liked it for it's honesty.
Keep your head up, there's lots of cars to fix out there, always a customer.

I am a subscriber and I have never received a notification even though it has always been on.
So the thing with YT is
You have to make shorts and it should be something that make people want to see more about it, like those channel who make video about upgrading their car they make 10 to 12 shorts about the car and in each shots they show one upgrade that they have done
And they test it for a little like
First 30 sec is about what they bout and installation of the mod or upgrade or whatever and the second part is about testing it and having fun with it or doing a funk tune and showing results
So that make people engaged in their content,
It seems like if you wanna keep bringing more first you have to have some serious content plan
Which is kinda time consuming but at the same time it brings the juice
My suggestion is to look for those type of content you'll find those type of channels, most of them doing great in term of views and revenue
So you might need a lil bit of change, I'm looking forward, hope to see your channel grow
I get notifications when you post Andy. Guys like Cleetus, SS and WD are the exception and not the rule. I am committed to watching a lot of channels and yours in one of them. I send Send It Steve messages all the time about the money he could be making.

yup fire the people add A I. and you get this result I have vids that are flat line that shouldn't be and then pick up a year later and ones I didn't think would do much do 200k idk just gotta keep going, it seems A I likes the same thing over and over and that's hard to do as a creator

CZcams is losing content creators to other platforms.
And for some reason I been seeing unless people are a “member “. Or what not that most vids an veiws aren’t even considered because they aren’t catered to what they like or want? I don’t know now to describe it really , it’s a shame either way, unless you and other troubled channels that are some of the best if not the best in the tool here, if they aren’t doing the hot things or the big trends they they don’t get behind them because it’s not what they want to support? I don’t know how to put it, like at all, I get most of your notes if not all, I been with the 717 crew for almost 7 years now? CZcams now isn’t really trying to do anything for the channels at all of any level because it’s all based on A.I. no physical people now it’s all just automated and it’s stupid
I just came across your video and I have my notifications on for you and I never get half of the notifications from CZcamsrs posting video that I subscribed to. You're not the only one who's had this problem , Corporals Corner who does bushcraft/ Survival videos and he doesn't get views he should be getting.
I just got a notification about thos video but before that its been months. I get mike/streetspeed717 notifications all the time. I think CZcams has it to where the notifications aren't being sent out unless the creator has 500k or a million plus subs now. It's sad that CZcams is like this now. I've been following you for years and met you at the CZcams call out
You have to upload videos consistantly, or the algorithm wont pick them up. Try uploading one video per week, on the same day each week, and you should start noticing a pretty big pickup in views.
Holidays are coming up and SS says that’s when ad revenue picks up quit a bit. Keep pumping out video’s. I need to put a windshield washer pump on my 2010 Cadillac and apparently you have to jack up the left front wheel turn the wheel all the way to the left partially remove the inner fender liner and it’s in plain sight. Unfortunately I’m disabled and don’t want to be taken advantage of. It’s a $27 oem part. I’m in Ohio if I was near you I would pay you to put it on. Apparently it’s like a 15 job if you have the tools which I don’t have.
We just want more videos, more content will get you back up in the algorithm

agreed, i see it with alot of my subscriptions, i just do not see when the creators upload. And i hear your same complaint from others. What i have seen is, unless you are uploading content everyday or every other day and getting those views every day, you are going to get pushed farther and farther to the bottom of the pile. I see that with the channels i watch. As soon as they take a break for a week or 2, and than they start back up again, i dont see their videos on my suggested list. When that happens, people tend to forget about you (unless they are diehard supporters) and they just move on watching other videos in their suggested ones to watch main page. Like this video here, i had to go to my subscriptions page on left side and scroll down to your channel and click on it. Only reason i even did that was because i remembered you and realized i have not seen anything from you recently. So, in the end, it is typical business, those who make the company money are rewarded and those who don't get the leftover scraps. Only thing i can tell you is you have to start to do it for the joy of it (without the money) and for the comments from your diehard fans. I was never that big and didn't want to be. I stopped because the youtube police cracked down on music in the videos, which i loved that part of it. Stay in the fight, if only for the few of us who just enjoy who you are and what you do.

Well, I hope that you're not going to take what I'm going to say the wrong way, but honestly back a few years ago, your videos were more entertaining. When you had your old shop, back when you were working with Max, the content was more diverse: more engine builds, dyno, drag racing, off roading, transmissions re-buid and all the shenanigans with Streetspeed717, Sendit Steve, and the other dude with the red camaro. And you were showing the builds more in details too. Plus you were posting content on a regular basis, maybe every week if I remember. It's just my opinion.
I love your content. But I don't see all your videos. You should bring back Ghost maybe the views will go up. Keep up the good work.

Andy good work and I hope this comment finds you good spirits. I watch yt all day disabled retired when there is content. I don't rely on the Bell,I go through my list off subscriptions everyday and look for a little blue dot. I know that I have seen some creators who only used to do once a month go to once a week some like Auto auction Randy's channel who is now doing two videos a day plus shorts. Randy pretty much claims the same as you he has to put out more content to make the same money he was making before. But honestly I know you two are very different but he also does a fixing his cars as well but he also does the on-site where he purchases them. I'm sure that gives him the opportunity to create more on his channel then you do on yours since all you do is repair. But more content makes more money also I've noticed longer stays up higher on the list then shorter content.Hence Randy being at the top of my list where unfortunately you are at the bottom.But know I do keep you on my list and I do watch every video you produce (Zach or not...lol). Just so you know just by watching this one video shut your channel from the bottom of my list to the middle of my list that is 25 to 30 subscriptions more I think I have close to a hundred or more on my list

The notification issues with CZcams seems plausible as I've seen a couple of other CZcamsrs complaining about the same thing. However, I don't think that's the main issue. I feel like you are not playing the algorithm game to its full potential. Do not take this the wrong way Andy but here's some food for thought. You've been doing CZcams for 7 years, I expect some decent video editing skills but as of now they still feel basic. Your video thumbnails need improvement, nobody wants to click a thumbnail featuring a blurred face with a car on a lift in the background. You need to be fast paced throughout the videos too, the first 2mins of this video was silent with you just removing lug nuts... Whistling Diseal is fast paced, video cuts in and out of action every 5 seconds capturing the viewers attention. And finally content.. we want to see ACTION. Bring back the gocart/harbor freight engine videos, bring back some drag racing, be creative!
I think something far more nefarious is going on with this website.
