A very nice educative and informative video. However, even though the new 'dolby'/digital technology is highly advance and automotive- yet when compared to the old 'valve' set technology, in my personal opinion, (being from that era), I am still nostaligic about the richness and depth of the sound that was generated by that old technology in the cinema halls - (valve amplifires). Till date, the voice of the singers, like Shri Mohd. Rafi, Talat Mahmud, Hemant Da, Kishore and Manna Da, still remains outstanding. The Music by the great Maestros, the recordings of orchestra , (remember Film Awara's song and dance sequence- 'tere bina aag yeh chandini or 'Aa ub laut chalen' in Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti hai' ) - still remain outstanding, despite 'digitisation'. I am not against modern technology- but still am remniscent of what was there during 'our' time. Yours is a nice video- plz keep up the good work. Regards.

this is digital sound mixing, but dolby is licensed programme, which you did not explained how it works with dolby license and dolby authorized mixing.
As per my knowledge before in 1970 to 1980 also stereophonic Dolby digital surround was available. But depends on cinemas sterling, strand, excelsior and many more they have already. Because i am a cinema projectionist i had already operated these types of sound system. For movie Shalimar, sholay, pakizaa, shaan, the burning train, kranti many more and in 3D cinemascope, 35 mm to 70mmm.
