BLOCKHEAD do you think a dyna or a Softail would be a good first bike. I am extremely handy and own all tools known to man for cars and repair on anything. I am confident in ridding ability but I am on taller end at 6'3'' almost 6''4 but I don't weigh much at all. since you have owned both , what is your take on this situation
First you take torque wrench to main bolt, then you torque pinch bolt.

How far in to the fork does the left side (the one with the hole in it) go?
Until the right edge of the hole touches the fork?

What about on a rice-burner or any other bike where the exhaust pipes protrude below the frame, negating the option of a small lifting jack below ?? How do I support the bike for front tire removal ion that case ??

fuckin love that exhaust on the 48! I am so used to seeing V&H on every sportster out there... Don`t get me wrong great set of pipes, but Custom made pipes just brings out a different and unique look and they sound amazing.
What’s the bolt diameter on the opposite side of the axel
While you have the wheel off,if that service already hasn't been done,you might as well grease the wheel bearings.
Blockhead, have you guys tried Lolipops in her new exhaust yet?
I'd do some checking around and see if you're losing backpressure on those pipes or not.

Annnd now the wheel is going to loosen up cuz you didn’t allow everything to preload properly by tightening the axle nut first. Good luck to that rider.
