Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (8): World 8

"Lost is Won"
The final main world pulls out all of the stops as you'd expect. Unfortunately in Lost Levels, that means throwing in gimmicks like hidden blocks being everywhere to pad the already difficult time you'll being having here.
In all honesty, it's just frustrating because I think it's tough enough that it doesn't need dumb design decisions dragging things down. Like I don't mind being asked to do stuff like Koopa hopping or falling backwards in mid-jump, but do we really need the buildup to Bowser filled with that artificial nonsense? Of course not.
Thankfully, that isn't all she wrote for this one as this game does include some bonus worlds. Maybe you can actually play fair with your challenge in those, TLL? That would be swell.

6:42 believe it or not, this Bowser isn’t actually a fake.
It’s Bowser’s twin brother.
In the original version, he is even blue to distinguish the two, and one of Bowser’s alternate palettes in Super Smash Bros. is blue as a reference to him.
Sucks they didn’t recolour him in the ‘Advance’ version.

This game was never meant for ordinary players. Nintendo advertised it from the start as for super players, hardcore

Amazing platforming. I never did beat it as Mario - always counted on Luigi's higher jumping ability, plus the sub-world continues that SMB All-Stars allows.

I have super Mario bros 2 the lost levels on my game and watch I got this year, and when I get hit I don’t become invisible, I just glitch when I’m small, so when you’ve become small Mario why do you become invisible?

It's just a frame rate issue as these vids get downgraded to 30 FPS with the software I use to produce them, meaning that it's half the game's actual frame rate.

But then why didn't they use the super mario odyssey engine for 3d all stars
