I don't believe insurance decided that the lady was completely at fault.. nobody swerved to the left... the red car was hitting the brakes because someone was backing out and she never got out of the first Lane. Yep. Maybe I have bionic vision but I saw the car in good time and if Eddy hadn't been ducking and diving through traffic like a wannabe MotoGP rider his groin would've been just fine I'm sure. I bet the insurers saw Eddy's video of him doing 60+ in a 40 and thought it was the driver's fault naturally.
I saw the cars brake lights and wondered for a while why he wasn't braking/slowing down. Both at fault as you shouldn't reverse onto an A-road. Not sure of the laws in the US but if it was the UK both would of been at fault for doing this and driving without due care and attention/speeding for the biker.
The moral of this video is : going slower and not crashing is more fun.

7:55 let me correct that text: *when Eddy decided it was a good idea to overtake a car, that was braking because of a hazard, on the right side on a busy road with parked cars all over the place
While doing 65 in a 40 and weaving in and out of traffic
You can see he starts braking around 7:53 as he sees the brake lights on the car in front in the left lane. But he makes the mistake of thinking he can just go around and by the time he sees the car stopped in the right, its too late. He no longer has enough room to stop in time, or enough space to swerve.

@@Dan_Tactics He didn't fully commit yet, he was at 62mph when seeing red car slow down, and gets on the line between lane 1 and lane 2 going 58mph, he had time to get back into his original lane and pass on the left side of red vehicle, no, passing on left of red in this situation isn't safe but there's 3 options, Option 1. Hit a parked car because you're stupid. 2. Hit the back of red car and likely flipping onto it's hood, or if lucky only onto the top of car (meaning less distance, ideally meaning less launch speed) 3. attempting to use what road there is on the median to pass red.
Basically I'm saying "Eddy" had a split second of time, he didn't fully commit before the crash, that's the stupid thing, the Daemon Rider clip is full of lies, head over to his channel for a more thorough comment detailing and exposing his lies that he claimed and using the video he has for "proof". 5:50 illustrates why lane splitting is not a good idea. Filtering is a fantastic idea, but lane splitting is an increasingly bad idea the faster you go (the two things are not the same).
The insurance companies must love these videos. As they can now avoid paying claims.

I'm pretty sure it goes the other way too. Insurance companies are NOT on you side and I'm certain video evidence has forced them to do the right thing where without the evidence they would have somehow screwed the victim as they have done and still do every day.

@@ricardor6388 Yeah, I'm pretty sure showing a video that had you doing 75mph through a 35mph zone just before the accident, and doing 65mph in a 45mph zone at the time of the accident wont exactly endear you to the insurance companies.
Speed was undoubtedly a primary contributing factor to the accident.

It was a 40mph zone, he decided to pass on the right at 65. A car breaks for seemingly no reason in the left lane and instead of taking that cue as a road hazard is present, he decided to overtake on the right blindly. Yes, the car was the primary reason why he wrecked. But going 25-30 mph over posted speed and diving into that right lane with out line of sight was a big contribution. I wish him well and glad he is making a recovery. Shame he was so injured.

Really? the fact that he was driving nearly twice the speed limit and 20 over when he hit the car, passing on the wrong side and not trying to stop sooner has NOTHING to do with the accident? Funny how none of the cars managed to hit that car but he did. I can assure you if that went to trial and the jury saw that footage your boy would not win that case. And if was the owner of that black car and saw this video I would show it to my insurance company asap and possibly sue him if I had to pay anything out of pocket.

Daemon Rider wow that was a terrible impact, the only thing which could have prevented that was if your friend was going slower and ideally wasn't in a hyabusa so he could make that fast turn (at slower speed).
If your friend decides to buy another Hyabusa after that shit he went through being in a super heavy bike with more power than anyone needs, then I look forward to seeing him back on here again

On the bottom it shows the speed he was doing around 70 in a 40 zone.. And he decided to overtake that car instead of breaking
Backing onto a roadway here makes you 100% at fault no matter what...
ALWAYS back in when you cannot turn around in a driveway...

These videos make me slow down and just ride safe.
That last clip explains how the driver was at fault for backing out onto a 40mph road with a blind corner. Sure... The driver shouldn't be backing out onto the road, but the missing link is in the last two points. It's a 40mph road with a blind corner, so weaving through traffic at 60mph+ is probably a bad idea when going into a blind corner. If the speed reading is accurate, he was braking from 60mph to 40mph and then impacted the car. Had he traveled at 40mph to begin with he could have collided at 20mph, and with the decrease in speed he would have had longer time to react, meaning potentially avoiding the crash altogether.
If you pride yourself on being a good rider, then remember that being good also means being smart about situational riding.
Stopping distance isn't linear to the speed, but to the second power. At 60mph the stopping distance is double to that at 40mph. So going 40 he may have avoided it altogether.

7:35 Daemon Rider - Two things. It is not a blind corner, and if it's a 40 mph zone, why is your boy Eddy doing 60 mph? You can see the reversing car on the road at the 4:55:33 mark of the video. The collision occurs at 4:55:39. Your boy Eddy stuffed up and is trying to put the blame the resident!

CVC 22106 reads that “no person shall start a vehicle stopped, standing, or parked on a highway, nor shall any person back a vehicle on a highway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety.” A defendant can raise a legal defense to challenge a traffic ticket under this statute.

EXACTLY!!! he left himself only 10-20 ft to stop vs the 40-50 he had originally... Priorities!
It's funny because most of the crashes with vehicles could have been avoided if the rider was paying more attention, including the incident around minute 8:15. Mind you the car might have been in the wrong, but the other car in the left lane saw that mistake and stopped, the rider should have been able to do the same thing.

@@TroyC68 wait, where is this law that you're talking about? In a few US cities they are making 45° parking spaces along the roadway. Cars pull right in, but to get out they have to back up into the usually busy road. It's retarded imo but I've never seen a law saying you can't back up onto a roadway, and I don't think those 45° spaces could be legally built if it was illegal.
Edit: also backing from your driveway and parallel parking require baking up on the road.

As hilarious as that clip was, it's quite easy to break or fracture bones from a slow speed crash. One of my friends fractured his tailbone when he fell off a kick scooter.

actually the guy at 0:47 pressed his brakes and revved at the same time u can do that on a motorcycle. the only time you see people that just rev instead of braking is when they want the other driver to move out the way quickly to avoid an impact usually because the biker cannot brake hard enough to stop in time . The guy at 0:47 has to deal with stopping and braking distance which consists of the time it takes the human to react and apply the brakes. its worth mentioning the driver ahead of her shouldn't of stopped where she stopped and it was unexpected for the rider. another thing to mention is that the weather conditions increased the stopping distance drastically, it is really easy for any vehicle on two wheels to skid on a wet road and loose control.
@@homerwhite4633 i don't think that was intentional though. He had clutch in, on both brakes. The rear was already stepped out. When that happens it changes the angle between you and the handlebars (you're now pointed at the sidewalk, but in order to keep the bike up the handlebars need to be pointed down the road). With that change of angle it's easy to accidentally twist your hand, which revs the engine. I've done it before, i know plenty of others who have as well.
@@haks_123 i hear you but revving your engine in place of your horn is dumb and usually useless. We all know what a horn sound like. If you hear a horn you instinctively look around to see what's happening. Hearing some dude rev his engine doesn't have the same effect, and it probably gives others the wrong idea.
Instead of "someone honked at me, i need to look and see what's happening" it's "fucking ricer wants to race or some shit".
Not only that but if your exhaust is quiet like this guy's it's probably not that noticable in a car with music.

A long time ago when I was little, I was riding on my longboard going a pretty normal speed and I had fell off and landed on my butt I couldn’t walk properly and without pain for the next 2-3 weeks😂. Falling on your butt can hurt really bad.
I too crased the same way Dark Roast did but I didn't have my cam that day. Water trails was the reason I crashed at an corner. Pls ride safe and be aware guys ✌️

If you wanna speed there are tracks for it. When you speed on public road , you start gambling your life. Maybe you would be ok with easy exit but if you stay bedridden for the rest of your life , you are gonna be huge trouble for your family , loved ones. Try to keep it in speed limit and not for yourself but for them.
That's why you carry a DNR card in your wallet along with a card requesting to be taken off of any life support if you are still in a coma or vegetative state after a certain period of time.
